Another Fun Summer Weekend

Friday Matt got tickets for him & Kyle to got to the Hunter Video Event. Nic and I decided we weren't really interested in going so we made plan to just hang out together. After dinner the boys headed for the show and we decided to take the kids on a walk. We took the double stroller for Gracie and Kinley and Hallie and Rigs got to ride bikes.

Just as we crossed the street Nic's flip flop broke luckily she was cleaver enough to fix it with a hair elastic so we kept on walking.

When we got back we put the 2 youngest to bed and popped some popcorn and watch a movie with Rigs and Hallie. Then after a couple hours of sleep we loaded up and headed for East canyon for another fun day of boating. We took a couple friend of ours and Kim & Ez joined us. Kimber wanted some proof she wake-boarded so here they are. She did great!

Finally a boating day without rain, wind, or clouds....for the most part. Gracie enjoyed the sun...and the snacks
Before falling asleep(I love boating for this reason she falls asleep every time)
Kimber and I found out pretty quickly we had matching swimsuits...of coarse we had to document it
About 3 we loaded up the boat and headed for home just in time for Matt's mom to get to our house to watch the kids of Elders Quorum date night. BBQ & bullets. We made it just in time to the bbq to eat some food and head back up to Morgan to do some shooting. We shot shotguns and handguns. They had a great turn out(Matt was really happy about it...since he was in charge)

The playing didn't end until dark and then we had no choice. What another fun summer weekend...it makes me sad summer is almost over.

Nate's Big Week

Monday Aug 5th Nate got set apart as a missionary in Las Vegas and his journey began

Tuesday he took his 1st flight ever from Vegas to SLC where Ez picked him up and we all met at Tucanos for dinner together. Nate was a little off. I assumed he had a lot on his mind and at the same time was just ready to jump into the mission field. Hallie was so excited she has never been to a "fancy" restaurant. And she was pretty excited about almost everything she ate.
Although I think her favorite was the grilled pineapple.
 Me and my sweetheart
The kids filled their bellys faster than the adults so this is what they did to pass the time and wait for us to finish.
Gracie on the other hand decided to take the sit back and wait approach we all couldn't stop laughing as she just sat their patiently waiting.
After dinner we loaded up and headed back to kimbers to play games and have cake Nic had made. Unfortunately Nate was exhausted and fell asleep on the floor for a quick nap. The rest of us visited while the kids played outside.
Once Nate woke up it was time for pictures, cake, and playing.

Wed morning Kim and Ez took Nate to the MTC in Provo. Kimber said he was so antsy that is was hard to get a good picture. And off he went.

Im excited to watch Nate grow over the next couple years and as he does Im sure we will as well. He will be a great missionary and has been looking forward to this for a long time. Love you Nate see ya in a couple years.

Hallie's 1st Dance Parade

Hallie was so excited when she got to be in her 1st parade with her dance class. It was Roy days the 1st weekend in Aug. Here she is all ready to go.
Gracie loved going to get candy as they threw it...possibly almost more than eating it.
Then she was super excited when we saw Hallie coming
All the girls younger than 8 rode on the truck and did arm motions with the music. They were the only dance studio we saw that actually danced and didn't just ride

That's Hallie on the back corner.
By the time the parade was over she was so hot and tired but she said she had a great time. She had rubbed it so much she almost looked like a football player with black under her eyes when she was done.
Its hard to believe our little girl is big enough to do this kind of things but she is growing up and having a blast doing it.

East Canyon with the Browers

The last weekend in July we made plans to do some playing to celebrate the 24th a little late. Too bad the weather didn't get our message that we wanted sunny hot weather. But we dealt with what we had and when we got up and in was cloudy we decided to pack up and head for East Canyon anyways. We got everyone loaded and went to find a sandy place to call our own for the day. The weather continued to not cooperate but it didn't slow down our fun much. We got sprinkled on on and off throughout the day but lucky had no wind or lightening.
Grandma held these 2 girls most of the day and they ate ALOT of chocolate licorice
We left the bow cover on so the kids could lay up there and stay warm...I think they liked that
Gracie got worn out and luckily fell asleep...she was out
I loved what Hallie's hair did, Im not sure if it was the humidity or what but it went from straight to this beautiful slightly curled look...love you cute face
These were our boys on the trip...I think they had a great time. At least I know Matt did:)
After we loaded the boat we headed for home and more family time having a bbq and fireworks at our house. We did chicken and veggie kabobs. They were delicious and just what we needed after a fun day of boating.
After we filled our bellies we visited for a while before it got dark and we could do fireworks. Days like today are the days Im glad that we take the time to plan time for us to all spend together.

Sister Time

Some times it seems like all it takes to brighten my dad is to talk to my sisters. They are all at the same stage of life as I am and have similar struggles. I know I always have a listening, non-judgement ear to vent to and of coarse shopping partners. Last week Kimber came up for the day and we did just that. Before we left I gave Gracie a yogurt to eat while I blow dried Hallie's hair and when we were finished this is what I found. The innocent face that seemed to say...oh was I supposed to put it in my mouth? So after a quick bath and a wardrobe change we headed to Layton.
After a stop to our favorite place(the D.I) we headed over to Target. and found a cart that all the kids could fit in. We have decided that no matter where we go these days we look like a circus. But the kids thought it was so fun that they could play all together in one cart....but just for the record it doesn't exactly turn on a dime.
After we headed to Nic's house for some lunch and naps. Kimber did shellac nails and we just visited. It was such a fun day and one I can't wait to repeat again soon.
The next day we had a chill at home day Gracie found her hats and thought it was so funny to take it on and off so you couldn't see her eyes. My silly sweet faced girl. And Hallie enjoyed the day in her "I love Santa" Pjs while she painted her own fingernails and even painted Gracie's nails. I love good days.
Im so grateful for my sisters for the women and mothers they are and the love and support they show to me. God knew what he was doing when he put us all together.
