Sleepy Cuddles

I love when this guy is home and gets to cuddle with his girls. This is one of his favorite thing. The other night I went to put the kids in the tub and when I came back I found this heart warming sight. We spend a lot of time cuddling on the couch like this because we have found that they don't stay little long enough. I am very blessed!!

1st Time to the Pool

The girls have been asking for months when the poll will be open so they can swim. The condo complex we live in has 2 pools on the property. They seem to not realize or care that the water would be freezing since the pool heater was broken for the moment. So the end of May the time had finally come so while Em was sleeping and Matt was working on house stuff I took the kids up to do some swimming. They didn't care that it was cold they were just happy to be swimming.

I think this will be one of the many days we spend at the pool. I love these sweet girls.

The Love of a Sister

Although both girls love having Emery here and in our home Gracie is so fascinated with her. She frequently asks to hold her but it never lasts more than a couple minutes. During Emery's awake time we sing, read stories, and sometimes just talk to her. Gracie's favorite is when we sing to her. First I sing and then she wants a turn to hold and sing to her before we tuck her in for a nap. It melts my heart to listen to her sing primary songs to her sister in her sweet little voice. I hope they will continue to love each other and hopefully eventually sing primary songs together. It brings such a wonderful spirit into our home. There aren't many things better in this world.

Soccer & Cousin Time

Saturday after the soccer game we were able to grab some dinner with the Pugmires. It was such a fun evening catching up and having good food and great complany. Our kids play so well with Ris's kids. They help take care of them. They are just such great kids. We wish they were closer so our kids could spend more time with them.

Monday Madison's team played for the soccer championship. Although they didn't win it was still a ton of fun to watch and be together with the family.

Mayci was so cute she came and sat by me while I burped her just looking. I asked her if she would like to hold her and she was quick to say yes. She sat by us and held her for a few minutes before heading off to play with the other kids.

After the soccer game we grabbed lunch before everyone headed in the separate directions. It was so great! Low key and a great time. We had time to visit with everyone. The kids were great and ate and quietly played while the rest of us had a chance to catch up.

Im not sure I can find words to express how enjoyable our time with Matt's family was this weekend. The kids were all fantastic. We got to visit attempting to catch up on every ones busy crazy lives, I was so glad we made the time to be there for Maddi's games and to spend time with the rest of the family. I hope there are many more times like these in our future.

Meeting More Family

Over Memorial Day Weekend my parents and sister were able to make a quick 24 hour trip to visit and meet our sweet Emery. Maddi was so funny she told my mom she didn't want to come and didn't even care if she got to hold the baby but once they got here her tune totally changed. She was hogging Em for sure. I think she kinda likes her.

And although papa is more of a fan when the babies are a little older he even got a chance to snuggle her.

Shortly after they got there we found out that my Grandma Harris and Aunt Jeanette we coming down to visit as well. It was a fun surprise.

Shortly after everyone got there it started to pour rain, and there was a ton of thunder and lightening. About an hour later the sun came out and the clouds went away. Maddi took the girl out to jump in the puddles although I think she did more supervising than jumping in the puddles when she realized how cold it was. The girls had a ball some of the puddles were so deep there rain boots were full of water. Once they came in they had to completely change their clothes since they were soaked through.

After church Nic and Ky came up to join us for dinner. We had a full house and enjoyed some great food. I love this picture of all the kids lined up eating their dinner.

I put Emery down in her bed to sleep while the rest of us ate but she didn't get left there before Maddi wanted to cuddle her again.

The rest of the kids were great. They pulled out the sand play doh and we didn't hear much from them after that. They were completely entertained while the rest of us visited.

Grandma even got in on the action. She has come so far and is so good with the kids. We really enjoy having her around.

My girls love to cuddle with their papa. Hallie didn't waste any time making a place for them to cuddle while we all chatted. I love when they get some quality time with my parents. I think these quiet moments are moments they will remember one day

Although it was a very quick trip I'm so glad they made the effort to come and meet our little sweet heart. It was such a great day spent with some of the people we love the most.

Hallie Our Little Reader

Hallie has come so far this year in Kindergarten and I think one of the most obvious is how well she is reading. She made it thru 4 sets of colored books and we couldn't be more proud of her. She loves to read and does a really good job. She loves to read on Matt's lap so a couple days before school was out I caught this sweet picture of them reading together. Such great moments and memories for them.

The Many Faces of Emery

I sometimes feel panicked when I think about how quickly time is passing and how quickly Emery is growing and changing. I just want time to slow down to enjoy every minute of this little girls life. I love to sit on the couch and hold her while she sleeps studying every feature of her face almost as if to take a picture in my mind to never forget how little she is. She is so beautiful I love her little tiny features and how delicate and petite she is.

She sleeps in a rock and play next to our bed. She so far has been a great sleeper most nights. I love that I can roll over and listen/watch her while she sleeps it makes my heart happy.

Even though Im no longer pregnant with her she still loves her hands by her face all of the time. I think its sweet and oh so cute.
