This little girl is getting to big to bath in her infant bath tub but not quite big enough to sit up on her own yet which makes bath tub pretty tricky. I have seen these bath seats and wanted one although Im not sure why it has taken me to our 3rd baby to finally buy one! So far it seems to work really well and Em also seems to like it

Happy Thanksgiving...from KFC
This year we were supposed to be headed to Vegas for Thanksgiving but with everything going on with the house we really felt like we needed to be home. It ended up being a super big deal that we were here. Lots of things got accomplished and many decisions had to be made it would have been really stressful to be gone for sure. But originally we thought we would just get KFC and eat in the family room on the bare floor. It would be a fun memory but with the activity going on with the house it was better if we stayed out of the way so we decided to do Thanksgiving with Brit and their family. Brit had said they wanted to go the more traditional route when I suggested KFC but ultimately after discussions of the mess and clean up we voted that KFC was the best option and it didn't disappoint. Matt and I stopped to pick it up on the way to Brit's house and when we got there we ate. Brit had made some stuffing to go with it so we had everything for a great Thanksgiving dinner.
We had chocolate and pumpkin pie for dessert
Em was even hungry for her Thanksgiving dinner(sweet potatoes) she had 2 jars worth!
After dinner since we didn't have hours of clean up Brit and I visited while the boys worked on their basement and the kids played.
Holidays like this remind me that its more about being together then what or where you are eating. While we were at KFC we saw a sign for a cajun turkey that we may just have to try next year. I really liked getting to enjoy dinner without all the work of cooking and the clean up.
Tile, Paint, & Railing Nov 22-28
Decisions...decisions! After the hard time we had deciding on tile we then had to decide how to space them and what color grout to go with. Luckily we worked thru it pretty quickly and they put it in that same day...we can't waste any more time for sure. We decided to go with a random staggered pattern which means there really isn't a pattern at all and a very small grout line for ease of cleaning it.
The tile guys were so quick at putting them down. Im sure it helped that the tiles are 18x32 but in the large space they don't feel that big at all. They were able to get all the tile on the floors down in 1 day!
With Matt Florence back in town he was bale to get the railing started. I was so ready for the railing I have been so worried someone would fall down the stairs where they are open at the top
And while the tile guys were in one place the painters were in the other. The painters were able to get all their prep done while the tile guys worked on the opposite floor. They worked it out really well.
We really liked how it turned out but it is so dirty right now its hard to tell what the real colors are

The painters hooked all the door together like this to paint them easier...I thought it was pretty clever.
Matt did a great job at getting all the closets in. We weren't really sure how to lay out the closets since we have never done this but I think it turned out really well.
Nick and Carson were able to come up and give Matt some much needed help on Saturday morning getting more finish work done. Specifically they worked on the built ins in the master and the mud room lockers
The railing went in pretty quickly and turned out beautiful! I can't wait to see it all stained
All prepped for paint with the windows and floors covered
It has been really hard this week to get to the house to see the progress there are so many people there I just feel like we are in the way which is fantastic! We are getting there a little more every day
Hallie & Daddy Date to the Jazz Game
Lately things with the house have been insane. With Matt Florence getting sent out of town for work just when we needed him to do all the finish work it added more responsibility on Matt who decided rather than waiting he would take it on himself. Matt seems to win all sorts of stuff on the radio. While he is driving to meet clients he always calls on radio give aways and he just happened to win 4 tickets to the Jazz game for that night(11/23)! Only problem was he had a bunch of stuff that had to be done. But we decided that he should take the opportunity to enjoy the break and go have some fun. He called his dad to see if he was available to go but he was working so I suggested to Matt that he should take Hallie for a date night and invite Nick and one of their kids to go with them. Luckily for us Nick was willing to spend the evening of his birthday with Matt and Hallie.
Matt is always so great at bring out the silliness in our kiddos....really he is just a responsible big kid
They had a great time although the game wasn't very good. Hallie loved getting to see the basketball game in person and I think she would love to go again another time
Cabinet Delivery & Tile Prep
Finally something is done ahead of schedule! The cabinets are done but we aren't quite ready to have them put in. So for now they are camped out in the garage waiting for their chance to be installed.
Meanwhile our painter and tiler have been amazing. They are working together to work out the most efficient schedule to get things done the fastest. They are even working all of Thanksgiving weekend including Thanksgiving day! Did I mention how awesome they are. Its hard workers like this that are going to get us into our house by Christmas...hopefully.
Tile Prep
I'm hoping that now we have found the remainder of our trades things will start moving but only time will tell.

WSU Football
Weber State Football games with the CMT program are something we look forward to every year. This year was no different but with everything going on with the house it was a little more complicated to get there and to really slow down to enjoy the game and time with the family but we did our best had a great time. Hallie was also here but for some reason didn't make it into any of the photos

Rodeo Fun
While Matt was working hard to get the house done I tried to keep life somewhat normal. Hallie's school gave out tickets for the rodeo so we loaded up and the girls and I had a little night out to the rodeo.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that it wasn't super busy or crowded especially since I had all the kids and Em was asleep in her carseat
I have never been to an indoor rodeo so it was a first for all of us. It was a small space so I don't think there were really any bad seats and the girls could still see. They eat had packed a snack and a drink so while they watched the action they enjoyed that.
Em woke up about half way thru and was very interested in all the action going on
It lasted about a hour and a half and then we headed for home it was about right. The girls favorite part was chicken chase. They lined up about 30 kids and told them to chase 5 chickens and whom ever caught them got a prize...it was hilarious. It was a fun night.
