Kinner's 3rd Birthday

After getting home and settled form Vegas we were able to get together and celebrate Kinley's 3rd birthday. I still remember going to Disney on Ice and waiting for the news that this little girl had come into the world safe and sound. We had dinner and cupcakes it was a fun night being together. While we were getting our food we put Em under the counter where she would be out of the way so she wouldn't get stepped on. Matt  caught a few of these pictures of her watching everyone and the festivities.

Em wasn't really a fan of the cupcake or the frosting. I think we will have to work on this some more so she will be ready for her birthday in a couple months.

Our Vegas Visit and Lydi's Blessing

Thursday night we flew into Vegas late. Kimber was nice enough to come get us and she even came in to help us out with our bags. We were so happy to see her there were a few tears shed for sure. The kids were all so excited to see each other. Luke stayed up waiting for them! Once we got everyone settled it was pretty late and we got everyone to bed. Friday morning we got up and ready. While eating breakfast Luke needed help getting socks on and Hallie was happy to help. They were so cute together. 

Then we headed over to a play place not to far from Kimbers house. The kids loved it and I think the moms had a good time too. They had massage chairs, a refreshment station, and a nail painting station.

The kids were all so tired. We grabbed some lunch and then headed home. Em slept for a long time she was so tired. I thought it was so cute how she wrapped her blankie around her face to get comfy

We let the kids play in the sandbox it was hard to make them have a nap when they were playing so well together. I was really glad that we stayed with Kim so that we got to really spend time with them

Each night Kimber would read to the kids while the kids cuddled up in the bed

Saturday we went yard selling. Em ended up pretty packed in her stroller 

She decided to try holding her bottle. She still doesn't like to do that for some strangle reason

On the way home form the yard sale she totally crashed she was so tired

When we got home the kids played with their treasures and read stories then it was time for a rest.

Saturday night once Matt got to Kimbers and the kids were awake we drove over to my moms for dinner and to hang out. We had some food and then we played in the hot tub. The kids loved it

Once we came inside and got everyone showered we sat down to watch The Good Dinosaur

Em was so tired and Nic had just the touch she needed to fall asleep. Nic always take the time to love on my kids and I really love that about her

Sunday morning we got up and going so we could be ready for the luncheon and the blessing

My family....this is after the blessing before everyone had to leave. 

It was a super long ride home! The weather was terrible and the kids hated it. Rigs was having some bad respiratory attack and they had to stop to take him to an instacare...it was scary. We finally made it home thru the wind, snow, and rain about 1 am. It was exhausting I don't think we will be making that drive again any time soon. I had a great time hanging out with my family but was really glad to be back home in my own house

Landscaping

The end of March we were able to finalize our landscape plan and get ready to put it all in place. We took it to the sprinkle place and they were able to put them in the drawing as well. Im ready to get everything put in motion but at this point we need to wait for the snow to melt and the ground to dry out so we can get going. Im really excited to get a yard again especially for a place for the kids to play. We emailed the developer to see if they would allow us to put in a fence to keep the kids in. It probably wont be the vinyl fence I always though we would have but at this point I will take whatever kind of fence I can get....so we will see what happens

Sickness Sickness Go Away

We have really struggled over the last couple weeks to stay healthy. Between strep throat, ear infections, sinus infections, and just plain feeling crappy we have been really busy. Within a 3 week period every single one of us had to go to the doctor at least once. First Matt had strep, then Hallie had an ear/sinus infection, then I got strep, then Gracie got strep and we had Em checked(luckily she didn't get strep), then Hallie got strep! It really has been ridiculous. Our pediatrician suggested maybe I needed a frequently visit card...lol and so sad at the same time. Everyone kept pretty good spirits thru all of it. One day when I ran to grab Hallie the girls wanted to go and Em thought she was so cool to sit in a big kid seat. I think she will like it when she can finally sit like this for good.

Although it has been a busy and rough couple of weeks Im glad nothing ever got more serious. Im grateful for modern medicine to help us all get feeling better. Now we are hoping for some healthy time. 

Dr Suess's Birthday

For Dr. Suess's Day the kids were asked to dress up. Hallie was hesitant at first but I told her we could do something fun but not to crazy. We looked on Pinterest and found this and she was good to go. She loved it and asked to have her hair lie this for days...but I told her we better save it for special days!
