1st Time on the Lake This Year

 We have been looking forward to this day for months. It is one downfall of living where you see the lake at multiple times in a day and not be in the boat on the lake. Friday Nic and Ky came up with his sister and invited us to tag along we were happy to say yes.

 We mostly did some swimming with all the kids. Em even like to swim...as long as she was with me anyways

 Everyone got some good water time in and after a couple hours we were ready to call it a day with the wind picking up and the storm coming in. Everyone was tired and ready to head home. It was a good first trip out for us and just what we needed to have the umph to finish the top soil in the yard.

 We got a little stir crazy and decided to take a trip to visit Nic and play in the water. It worked out perfect Nic had a little pool just for Em that we put under the umbrella to keep her in the shade. She liked it for a little bit but then was more happy playing on the grass and eating snacks while watching the older kids run around.

I love Nic and the relationship that we have as well as the relationship she has with my kids. I know she truly loves them as close to a mom could. Im so grateful for that 

These girls play so cute together and although there have been times that Em is in their stuff and they throw a fit they are far and few between. Most of the time they are good at making her her own space or letting her join them. I love to sit back and just watch them play together.

 Em has picked up on the love to read. Although this is dark it was just to cute to not post. She will sit and look thru books for 15-20 minutes at a time. Sometimes moving and stacking them and others just jabbering as she turns pages. I love this stage.

Another Weekend of Yardwork

Although the yard feels like some days it will never end it is coming along. Now that the weather has warmed up we can all be outside working/playing together. Em got her first ride and loved it

Park Day

We finally made it to the Huntsville park and it was so fun! There were so many places to play. And the squirrels were everywhere. There was alot of shade so it stayed nice and cool to play. Em loved swinging. I'm sure we will become regulars at the park

This girl loves her mobility and music. When she hears the music turn on she just starts to move. I think these short clips show this better than I could ever describe. She is so fun and always puts a smile on our face 

First Week of Summer

We are very much enjoying our freedom of summer. We have been running around to various nurseries figuring out all the plants for the yard. The kids love the flowers so they have been great along the way. They found this concrete horse at one of the places and had to have a picture of coarse.

Gracie has surprised my a little lately she has been coloring on herself! I thought we were out of this stage but we are working thru it. Talking a lot about how Heavenly Father gave us our bodies as a temple and we need to take good care of them it seems to be helping

We have had a lot more time for cuddles and who doesn't like sweet smelling clean kids in the summer. Love early movie nights
