Its Rough Being 1

Tuesday after a weekend of working overtime I decided to take the girls to see Finding Dori at the theater with friends. It was going really well until the last 30 minutes when Em decided to be a monster wiggler since she was so tired. But as soon as the movie was over and we got in the car she was out.We had a few errands we needed to run so when we got to the store I picked her up and she stayed asleep! If any of you know her this NEVER happens so I covered her with her blankie so the sun wouldn't be in her eyes and we ran our errands. Luckily she stayed asleep for most of our stops and was much happier when she woke up. I do have to say I really miss her falling asleep while being held I love cuddly babies
I was working on making sure the soaker lines were watering where they were supposed to so I had them running so I could see how long it took to get the plant sufficiently watered and dug some trenches to help. I turned around to find this little girl playing in a mud puddle! Instead of quickly getting her out I just let her be. She made a huge mess of herself and the second she realized I was watching her she stopped what she was doing and immediately wanted to be held.
She was really mad/sad that I wouldn't pick her up.

I took her pjs off and wiped her face off and then let her crawl around the yard in just a diaper until we finished. I don't know that I would have ever let the other girls do that but I have found that Im less concerned about little dumb things and have learned that getting dirty is just part of growing up and exploring

Rigs and Kinley Come Visit x2

I went back for my 2nd trip to the nursery to pick up plants. I came home with about 100 plants/trees. While I was gone Nic dropped off her kids so she could go on girls weekend so I had lots of helpers. We unloaded the plants and do my best not to feel overwhelmed. I laid them all out and the kids helped me haul the trees around with the power wheels. Within an hour we had everything spread out and ready to plant.

But it was time to take a lunch break and we stayed inside for the next couple hours where it was cool making some binoculars for their adventures.
These 4 have so much fun together and for the most part play so well together. So while I planted the plants the kids used their binoculars on their adventures
The kitties decided they had had plenty of fun and hid in the stroller in an effort to get some rest
On Friday they paved the road in front f our house. The kids had a great time watching all of the layers they put on the road
Later that night Matt brought home take out chinese for dinner before Kyle came to get the kids once he was off work. Once again we had a great time and the kids did so great. We have really enjoyed having a couple of extras around our house lately

Yard Progress

We are finally getting the yard going as far as plants are concerned. I'm amazed at the difference in the look and how its all coming together.

The girls are loving their play space and they rarely come to me and tell me I'm bored which is amazing. We have all loved having a yard to play in

The grass has now grown enough to mow and I actually missed it. I packed Em on my back and every time I walked by the tramp we took a bounce which she loved.
I'm so ready for this yard to be done so we can go play and I feel like we're getting so close.

Coach Pitch Team Pictures

We, as a team, decided to skip out on professional pictures so once all the team was back in town we shot a bunch of pictures. We have had a really good season. I think all of the kids have improved and had a great time. I think Matt isn't as frustrated that I signed him up to coach...lol

While we were getting pictures Em found some cheese and crackers and she seemed to really like the cheese so much that she was trying to lick it out of the container.

I love these 3 girls and the way they have changed our lives and taught us to love more than we ever thought we could
We were so thrilled to have Matt's parents join us. Hallie was so excited to have them there to watch and support her. We really appreciate their efforts to spend time with us

Our 4th of July Weekend

We decided to stay home this year and check out all the Huntsville festivities. We watched movies and stayed up late just spending time together. Em crawled over and laid on Hallie while we watched the movie. It was really cute.
We also painted nails. Red and blue with white polka dots. The girls were very patient and held really still

Monday morning we got up and ate at home before heading down town for the parade. We found a perfect little spot for us just a few minutes before the parade started. They were ready with bags in hand for the candy.

All ready for the parade to start

Someone handed out flags and my girls were so excited to wave them
Nem even got was excited to have a flag

After the parade we headed over to the park and wandered around the booths before we headed for home for naps and lunch. Then we got everything ready to have a BBQ and fireworks with Matt's parents and Chris and Krissy.  It ended up being a pretty laid back night that was a lot of fun. All of the kids loved the sparklers and we were able to watch the fireworks in Eden, Liberty, and Huntsville from the front porch. Matt even put us together a playlist of patriotic songs.

Em's 1st Steps

Em has decided it's pretty cool to walk and you can tell by the video she is so proud of herself.

Remember That Time We Locked Our Keys In The Truck...While In The Garage

Saturday while cleaning his truck Matt accidentally hit the lock button and locked his keys in his truck. This was a problem since he doesn't have another set. He tried for a couple minutes to get them before I made the decision to call Weber County dispatch to come rescue us. While we waited I tried to get him to pose for a picture but he was less than amused but Hallie was willing.
The girls were thrilled when they found out a police man was coming to our house and they were even more excited when she got her and it was a girl. She was so nice to the kids and gave them badges and treats as well as rescuing Matt's keys.

It was a 1st and hopefully a last for us. Im just glad everyone is safe and now to make an extra set of keys.
