Happy 2nd Birthday Emmy...Minnie Style

Our sweet Emery turned two! I can't believe its been two years since we added her to our new family. We of coarse had to decorate her door for her birthday although she wasn't sure what to think when she got up in the morning.

But she for sure loved her Minnie birthday balloons. This girl loves balloons and all things Mickey & Minnie so that made picking a theme for her birthday easier.

I love this sweet family of ours

Of coarse we had ice cream as well as cup cakes. It was the perfect night for the kids to play outside so the parents could visit inside where it was nice and quiet. A funny thing was that Matt was the only dad there. Corey(Mindi) was a drill, Nick(Brit) & Kyle(Nic) was at a scout camp out, Kerry(Joy) was working, and Kade(Teann) was on a business trip.

Then it was time for presents. She definitely got spoiled

Matt made these super cute invites that I found on Pintrest. We had such a fun night celebrating our sweet girl with our close friends and family. She seemed to also really enjoy it. She is at such a fun age. The world is such a discovery for her every day. I love seeing life thru a child's eyes. She loves to be outside and do just about everything. She is SO smart and is a really great listener and does pretty good communicating. She is down to one nap a day and sleeps at least 12 hours at night. Some days she really still needs a second nap but by the time she realizes that its to late for a nap. She is a pretty good eater and loves all things associated with "kid" foods...pasta, pizza, cottage cheese and peaches, apples, string cheese, fishes, and chicken nuggets. She is also a sugar/treat lover and will do just about anything for a treat.  She is in 2T clothes, size 6 shoes, and size 4 diapers. She has the thickest light blonde hair of all the girls. She is on and off interested in the potty. Loves Mickey Mouse Club House. We have taken away her bottle and started weaning with the binki. She does pretty good until we get to the late afternoon and then she is super sad....which is really hard for everyone. She loves to be read to, cuddled and rocked before she goes to sleep help me with anything and everything. I love that she will let me cuddle her since I feel like I missed so much cuddling when she was little while building the house. She is pretty much my shadow. She has the cutest little curly hair and actually likes her hair done and brush her teeth so her hair isn't in her face. She gives some of the craziness(sweet & dirty) looks you've ever seen and is so animated. She loves her older sisters but if she gets bugged the neighbors can hear it but we are attempting to work thru that. Happy birthday Em we love you SOOO much!

Preschool Talent Show

The day after Hallie's talent show Gracie got the chance to do her talent as well. I was so glad that Gracie got to go to Hallie's talent show because it gave her more confidence. She decided she wanted to do the hoola hoop and did great. She was so proud of herself. The look on her face was awesome.

Little Mermaid Play

The girls and I have been waiting for months for the Little Mermaid play at the Weber High School and were so excited for a girls night out while Matt was away for work. I was a little worried about how Em would do but she did great and loved the show. 

I love these girls and the way they make me push myself out of my comfort zone and try new things.

On the way home we decided to take a detour to get ice cream. Who doesn't love ice cream at 10pm on a school night...right?!? We had such a fun night and were so happy to find Matt was home when we got home it was a great surprise.

Dance Pictures Day

While I got the girls ready for pictures Em helped herself to the bag of cheetos.

Gracie loves her hair curly. She always says how beautiful she feels when she gets ready. She is really excited and has decided she wants to do dance but doesn't really over soccer so we'll continue on with dance with her.

Hallie was 3 hours later and we changed clothes and fixed hair in the car. She has decided she likes soccer more and wants to be done after this year in dance. I think she has also decided to continue with the piano and may eventually do choir or something else musical.

The girl both looked so beautiful and loved doing pictures. They have grown and changed so much over the last year and I love to see how much they have learned.

2nd Grade Talent Show

Hallie was so excited when she brought home the flier about the 2nd grade talent show. I am so proud of her I have always hated to be in front of people. She decided she wanted to play the piano and did a fantastic job. She was smiling ear to ear the whole time.

Originally I was told no parents were invited but her teacher text me last minute and said to come on over and watch. So I loaded up the other 2 and off we went. I was so glad we got to be there for Hallie. She is such a sweet and lovable girl.
