Family Picture

I have been a little bit of a slacker in getting our pictures done but the fall colors made it an easy decision it was time. Of coarse the day we did them it was freezing but the kids did pretty well and it made for a quick photo shoot. Becca, my friend from high school, took them and did an amazing job.

Hallie's Baptism

Hallie was really excited to get baptized and as a parent I hope we did enough to teach her so she knew enough to make the decision and to continue to make good decisions throughout her life. We asked all the family to come 15 minutes early so we could do pictures before the baptism. Once all the cousins arrived we got the pictures done. I think we did pretty good getting everyone to look.
We missed Kimber and her family but the Dr said she was to late in her pregnancy to travel so Hallie was happy to later give her a play by play of how the day played out. I love this wonderful and supportive family of mine. They drove late into the night to get here on time. They helped me get everything ready and were just there when I needed them.
Not my favorite family pic but Em's face is the best

Matt's mom was 20 minutes late so we didn't get any Brower family pictures. Luckily it was just our baptism so we could wait otherwise I think she might have missed it. We let Hallie decide the program in it's entirety. She had Nic and Mom pray, Maddi and Joy to talk, Nate, Matt, and the girls sang. Joy forgot her talk but luckily Brit had one in her car or something it was a little crazy.

This is just before she went into the font. She was a little nervous but still excited
I forgot to get pictures of all the decor. I was so sad but her daughter of a king theme was awesome. She requested a taco bar so that's exactly what we did. These are her flowers that we did on the tables in the mason jars

Everyone that came brought a salad or dessert and it worked great. We had plenty of food.
We tried to get pics with most of the people that came. I missed a few but we had a great time.

Grandma made Hallie this apron. She's so talented

It was a great a special day for our family and Hallie. We are so proud of Hallie and her decision to get baptized.

Black Island Farms

Yay Black Island Farms is one of our favorite things to do in the fall. Nic had and appt with Griff so she let us steal Kinners and take her with us. And Tiff and Aaron were here for the baptism so they were able to come as well.
I think the hayride might be the favorite to go out and pick the pumpkin
The kids loved learning about broom corn, cabbage, carrots, and how sunflowers help keep the birds away form the pumpkins. They ate carrots and cabbage as well

Then they all got to pick a pumpkin luckily they are pumpkin pie pumpkins so most of them are kids size so they can all carry their own. We took them all home and put them on the front porch

Then it was time to run around the open field and play some games/activities. The kids are always so exhausted by the time we leave this place form running around like crazy...its great

There was no one there but us and it was so great! We rode the train 3 times in a row and he took us on a long ride each time. Em thought she was so cool getting to ride alone

After playing in the corn pit, sliding down the straw bail slides, chasing the farm animals, jumping in the bounce house and riding the train a couple more times we decided to call it a day
And not 5 minutes down the road this one was out. Such a fun day but so exhausting at the same time

Tiff & Aaron Visit & Work Recognition

Tiff and Aaron come to stay for Hallie baptism so we were able to do some fun things with them. They came with us to Black Island Farms and after we were able to grab dinner with them and Chris and Krissy. It was a really nice and quiet dinner. And it was fun to go out with everyone
Em decorated herself with the stickers from the kids meal.
The kids had a fun time playing with Mia. Gracie loved reading to her at night after bath time
When I went to my CPR class my manger said hey some parents left you a gift in the unit and to go get it before I went home. I found this cute bouquet they had left. I love my job and couldn't imagine doing anything else but moments like these remind me that what I do also really matters

After Gracie took a bunch of pictures of the bouquet she was happy to help me eat some of it too

Office Visits

I had to go in for my GI followup dr appt. I like to schedule stuff when the two older girls are at school so I only have to take Em. She is a good partner and was completely content to play the tablet since she only gets to play it when we go somewhere and I need to keep her entertained and quiet. The GI didn't say much. I did have my IUD out in September so I asked if there was anything I should be concerned about or if he was concerned with us trying to get pregnant again. He said no and that he doesn't need to see me back for a year unless I have other issues.
On the way home the rain started to change to snow and when we got home there was some actually sticking to the round. It didn't stay long but it was the 1st snow this season.
Later that afternoon Hallie had her 8 year well child check. Afterwards we had some extra time before we had to be back for piano so we stopped at Matt's office and did some decorating. Unfortunately he was out of the office but the girls left him a special note for when he got back
I don't love Drs for the most part but I am grateful that when we have issues that they are usually there to help. I hope to keep us all healthy enough to not need to see the Drs very often but preventative visits I think are key to keeping everyone healthy
