Activity Days

They recently put Sister Layton in as the activity day leader and she has been so awesome for the girls. She made this recreation of Jesus's tomb for Easter. It came home with only grass seeds and she had to water it every day so it would grow. It was the perfect center piece for our Easter dinner.

Spring?

Every time we think the weather is warming up it seems to snow again. Never a bunch ...like I hoped but enough that our days include lots of cuddling on the couch.

Breakfast with Daddy

Matt has been traveling a lot as usual but the one thing that we all cherish is the time he is home. The late mornings and days he stays home with us. On this particular morning Matt took the girls to breakfast before school for donuts. I remember my dad going into work late and taking us for donuts it was my favorite. Although I will say we had way better breakfast options in Tremonton than Huntsville for sure. We sure love Matt for all he does for us. We miss him like crazy when he's gone.

Half Beef

I have always been interested in doing a beef and when the opportunity presented itself we decided to go for it. We split the half cow with Kade & Teann and then bought extra ground beef for my parents. I think looking back a couple months later we could have done without the steaks ect but we have really loved the ground beef and would totally do it again.

Hallie's 3rd Grade Drive Inn Movie

It's a tradition at Valley Elementary for 3rd grade they can earn a drive inn movie. Each child has to reach a certain number of reading hours in order to participate. Hallie had no issues with that and quickly started making plans for her car. She wanted to do it herself so we went to the store and picked thru their boxes. Im bugged I didn't get a picture of just her and her car. She didn't want to paint it all just added mirrors, a snack box, headlights, steering wheel, pedals, and some handles. She did a great job and really did nothing. I feel like she is growing up right before my eyes. She is my 2nd in command when Matt is gone or when I don't feel well. Im so grateful for her and the relationship we have

Yard Work, Little Accident, Muffin Maker, & Tire Troubles

When the weather starts to clear I have to not get to excited about getting the yard to ready because without fail it snows another handful of times. Emy is at the stage she loves to help and has become really good actually.

The other day coming over trappers I hit a wild turkey. It did a little bit of damage to my car and when we stopped we found feathers stuck in the front of the car

Em really likes to help cook or bake anything. The other morning I made some gluten free muffins and Em wanted to do her own so she made some regular blueberry ones. She is definitely a partner in crime
A couple weeks ago I took the suburban to have the air checked and they found a nail and fixed it and then a week later found this. Matt asked me where on earth I had been. I have no idea where all these sharp items came from. Lucky for me Nick is always so helpful and came to get me and the girls to take us to dance while the tire got fixed. When we went to go get the suburban they told us it wasn't all the way thru so they just pulled it out. I totally could have done that.
Our life can be a little random but I love it. Im so grateful for the life God has blessed us with

Disney On Ice

Round two for Disney on Ice wasn't a disappointment. We left early enough get there just in time for the show to start and then to get lunch at a Braza Grill. It was a fun day. They had quite a few non princess things from what we saw last time. Im so grateful for Matt and the fact that he is not only supportive but also willing to come and participate. i love this family of mine
