Bear Lake "Girls" Trip

Oh man where to start with this trip. Matt and I had talked months ago about how we wanted to go on this trip but I didn't want to take the girls alone or go on vacation without him. So we decided to get our own condo so we could all go. Originally I thought we were super close in location to each other but as the trip drew closer we found out their cabin was actually in St. Charles 15 minutes away. I was a little bummed but we had already made reservations. But when the day of the trip came I still hadn't received info about how and what to do for our condo so I got up early and sent an email and just as I went to send it I realized that I had booked the condo for the wrong YEAR. I initially panicked and text Matt and started to look for other options. I looked everywhere I could think and made dozen of calls. All the places not booked were super expensive and all the trailers needed 3 days notice before we could rent them. Luckily Matt came home at lunch planning to leave but because of my opps we were stuck looking for a place to sleep. After a couple hours of looking I mentioned to Matt that I had the feeling(multiple times) to call some of our friends and ask to borrow their trailer. We don't like feeling like we are taking advantage and so we were both hesitant. But we felt it was important to go so we bit the bullet and called and asked. They said yes without any hesitation. We waited for a couple hours until they got home so they could show us everything then Matt ran to get the trailer and we quickly loaded it and headed for Bear Lake. The trailer made my Yukon XL look like a mid-size vehicle.
We got there about 8 but unfortunately we missed dinner and everyone had headed to get milk shakes. While everyone was gone we set up the trailer and got the girls ready for bed. The mosquitoes were terrible so we had to get in and out of the trailer quickly. The trailer looked big  but we were creative in getting the girls each a spot to sleep and once you make everything into beds the trailer was for sure squishy. Luckily for us it cooled off outside and cooled the trailer right off. But it was a space to sleep and we were there to enjoy the week with everyone else. The girls slept great but Matt and I struggled a little. The second night we made some adjustment and did better but it definitely made me think twice about living in a trailer when we build again.

The next morning we got up and made some yummy breakfast and then packed up and headed for the lake. Although we got there pretty early it was difficult to find a spot on the beach. But we did find one. I am always amazed with how blue the water is.It didn't take long after getting settled for Em to find the table with all the snacks and she was in heaven.
Brit hurt her back the morning we left so she and I spent most of the day lounging under the sun shade. I was so glad Matt came with me. He was just what I needed to make the trip worth it. He was super helpful and as always attentive.

The cabin had this cute swing in the loft that the kids had a great time on. We just need to convince Matt's family that they do make cabins with air conditioning

We bought this cool swan the day before we left and the kids played on it all day
That night we went out to Cafe Sabor with the whole group and after we came back and watched Jumanji but we all slowly but surely died off to go to bed.
Here's the cabin we stayed in and our trailer next to it. I think it ended up working out better that we were closer to everyone else in the end. When we went on a walk to talk this picture a skunk crossed the path between us and the cabin. It was a little nerve racking to get back to the cabin.
The next morning we got up and packed to go home. I think we could have used one more day but had a good time while we were there.
Matt and I had a discussion on the way home and he asked if I thought all the stress with getting the trailer and taking care of everything had been worth it. My real thought was no but I think it was a big deal to Matt's family that we made the effort to be there and enjoy the time with them. So in the end that made it better. It was a lot of work but in the end worth it.

Sold by an Angel Swim Party

Angel invited us to join her and her team at a summer swim party. We decided to leave home early go do some parade houses, grab dinner, and head to the pool. Although Matt and I were tired and thought about not going I was really glad we went. When we got there we met a mermaid and they had cupcakes then we were off to swim. I have never been to a wave pool and I thought it was fun although I wished they would have had the waves go off more often. Just as the sun was going down we got another surprise...they had pizza delivered! It was so yummy(yes I gave in and ate a piece). It was a great way to end the night.

A Week of Randomness

Summer means getting the yard situated. Every time I feel like we are done with projects we find something else that needs tweaking but I guess thats life. The girls are at a fun age that they want to be involved and help. We took out the grass around the tramp, we can't keep the grass alive because of the slope. We replaced it with rocks and a border. It looks much better.
These girls are so fun this week while dad was at work we made a trip to Ulta and lunch at Zupas. It was a fun afternoon with our girls.
Our weekly lake trip was a little more exciting this week as the girls made some new friends. They were nice enough to share their toys and the girls loved it.
Saturday Joy was nice enough to come and watch the girls so we could go out on a day date. It was so nice to just be with him and it never ceases to amaze me how much more I love him everyday. We decided to do the parade of homes. We were gone all day we enjoyed the homes and lunch just the 2 of us. He is my best friends and my everything. He just gets me and is so good to me. We didn't take a lot of pictures but we did find some huge tiles that we love if we end up building again.

It was a week full of randomness. I love that Matt hasn't traveled in a couple weeks and will be home next week. Sometimes the weeks with no plans that just come together are the best.

Baby #4--18 Weeks

Here we are at 18 weeks and I'm surprised that we are already half way. This week I had my "20 week" ultrasound. I am 18 4/7 and the baby is measuring 19 6/7. I'm relieved that he is growing and is looking perfectly healthy. Still no name. I currently have a cold Im fighting after all the stress from last week that I think caused all of it. I feel like myself in the mornings but as the day passes I wear down and by evening I usually don't feel well. Still wearing my normal clothes with some alterations. Im getting more attached to this little guy more and more but it still seems surreal. Still no name but we have a short list that includes. Hudson(my fav), Kyler, and Grayson. We finally got some good pictures of him...enjoy

4th of July Weekend-Norr's Come to Visit

The Norr's were here Tuesday night to Sunday morning. We enjoyed the 4th of July festivities and boating. It was full of drama and stress/anxiety. I don't really want to rehash the situation but I know its something I never want to do again and I was so relived and happy when Sunday morning came. Luckily throughout the weekend Matt and I had things planned for just our little family. On Thursday I went to a freezer meal class with Teann and it was so fun and Im excited to start cooking the meals. See pictures below for Friday fun.

Friday afternoon Matt went to SWAT training for work with clients and loved it
As soon as he got home Friday we went to the NICU reunion at the Roy Aquatic Center. It was so fun popcorn, icees, and cotton candy and swam our hearts out until they kicked us out for closing. It was definitely a highlight in the weekend. The girls loved meeting the princesses and super heros.

It was a fun night and a break from the drama. Im not sure where my relationship stands particularly with my mom but only time will tell. Maybe once sometime passes I will add the details of the weekend but for now is not the time....just not ready and trying to move past it

Happy 4th of July

The 4th of July in Huntsville is so fun and just a small town awesome celebration. This year my parents decided to join us. The girls were so excited to wear their flip shirts and to get candy at the parade. They looked so cute in all their red, white, and blue.

After the parade we walked over to the park and they had some super fun games. Once we were hot we went to get slushies and watch the lawn mower races.

About 2pm we were hot and ready for lunch so we headed home to the a/c. All my girls love Sofie and she is liking them more all time now that he knows they will be nice to her.
Papa took the kids on some four wheeler rides and they loved that
The adults hit the volleyball around the backyard but I was happy watch from my lawn chair after running around and playing host all day
My mom took some pictures for us but they are all blurry I am disappointed but what do you do

When dark came the glow sticks came out and the heat was gone. We enjoyed the peaceful quiet night. Later we roasted smores while watching the fireworks. It was a fun but long day. My body just doesn't do as well running around as usual so I was glad to go to bed.

At this point I think we have found that the 4th in Huntsville is where we want to be and at the end of the day the most important thing to me is my little family.
