6462 Summit Cove-Time To Unpack

The house is coming together. The spaces are starting to feel more like home. Furniture is tough to find right now and is taking forever if you order it but we are making due. I have ordered a ton from amazon and that has worked pretty well. We are working at unpacking all the boxes and I love the magic of opening boxes that we haven't seen for over a year. This reading nook was inspired and Im sure will be one of the most used spaces in the house.

Gracie's Room

Since its already December its also time to put up the Christmas tree... the kids have been begging.
Everything is dusty and it all needs to be cleaned and we are getting there for sure.

Emy's Bathroom

Theater

Bunk Room-this place came in real handy while we were unpacking and trying to get everyone's beds set up. The girls all slept in here and it was nice for them to have a finished space.

While we are getting everything unpacked the sports court is holding most of the stuff. I thought Liam would do fine but I was wrong and he found Matt's tool box and dumped out all the nuts, bolts, and screws all over the gym floor.

It has been crazy stressful and exhausting but I'm so happy to be at this place and not be going back and forth anymore. We still don't have our C of O but no one seems to care and we had to get out of the condo so here we are just trying to finish the exterior rock so we can pass final inspection and live here legally. Im just grateful we are in one house and not splitting our time anymore.

Happy Birthday Liam...2 Years Old

The house may not be completely done but gosh dang it we wanting to have Liam's birthday here so we did. Although we postponed the family party until next week. We had presents and lots of boxes surrounding us that weren't wrapped...lol but it was a good time.

We went as a family to see the new Croods. The kdis loved it but Matt and I thought it was ok. Liam was more interested in running up and down the isles. It was our first time back to the theater since covid and it was nice how everything was spaced out.

We went to Pizza Pie Cafe and Liam loved the skookie that they do for birthdays. He loved the pizza and toppings from the salad bar but mostly ate the whipped topping off the top.

We love this little guy and all that he adds to this family. He is a perfect caboose. I could say a bunch of other mushy stuff but I'll leave it at our lives are better with him and we can't imagine our lives without him. He is a very special kid. Love you little man.

6462 Summit Cove-Final Touches Nov 30th-Dec 5th

Oh my what a mess! Although we're trying to finish some things up it still feels like there are tins to get done.

And after weeks and weeks of trying to get the rock guys here they showed up long enough to put the fireplace rock on. And just in time because the next day they put the carpet in the space. I guess I can't complain about quick progress. Now if only we can get the rock guys to come back and finish the exterior.

Joy came over one day and started to help e pack the condo so we would be ready to move. Have I mentioned that I hate packing. I wish I could just hire someone to do all the packing and moving especially when we are running on fumes trying to finish the new house.

The house needed numbers and I found these cute ones on Amazon and they finally arrived and so one night while Matt was out of town I put them up and I really like how they turned out.

All the lighting that I have spent hours looking at and picking out for each space. Its fun and stressful to see it come together.
Countertops in all the other spaces too.

In the last house I loved Liam's wall and fortunately we were able to figure out what it was and replicate it. Mom, Dad, and Maddi were here and so while Dad and Matt finished some stuff Mom and Maddi helped me finish Liam's wall.

One of the firth places we unpacked was the playroom. It was nice to have a clean and safe space to send the kids while we worked on the other places.
Now that the soffit and facia is in the insulation guys came back to blow in the insulation in the ceiling. The kids thought it was so cool to watch them pipe it throughout the house while Nic and I did some cleaning

We got internet put in
