Gracie was really excited about getting to have her first friend birthday party in the new house. She is growing so fast and it's hard to believe she is 9...only one more year in double digits. I love to sneak in and take a picture of the kids on the eve of their birthday. I love and hate birthdays and how fast kids grow. Gracie is her own person and has a heart that is unmatched by anyone I know. She could hadn't sleep waiting for her birthday and then her friend party.
We did our best to make sure the house didn't look like a construction zone even though we had a few things left to finish. The girls enjoyed pizza, soda, and of coarse cake.
The girls were creative with their gifts and Gracie got several things she really liked.
Then it was time for games. I have been looking forward to playing hungry hungry hippos in the sports court since the day we decided to put one in. It was worth the wait and the girls seem to have a great time.
After games they watched a movie and that didn't go well because they couldn't agree on a movie and then when they finally did some of the girls felt left out which resulted in hurt feelings and drama. So we called it quits and had cake before everyone headed home. It was a fun night but we all agree that individual play dates are better for everyone.
