Easter Saturday

 Manor Care easter egg hunt...still covid style. The weather was cold and rainy so they did it in the dining room with masks on!?! Weird but ok

We had several that won the golden egg

Then to Primaries we went to "egg" cars with cant and kind messages

Then to Lagoon to wrap up the day

Busy but amazing day with our people making memories and doing service

Spring Break Day 2 and Departure

 For as long as I can remember my mom has been a crafter and she has pasted that down to all of us. So while we were there she had gotten the supplies for us to make some Easter crafts

They always love playing video games at grandma's it can't break soon enough

My mom was saying while we were there how she really messed up her wallpaper in the guest bathroom and asked if I could look at it and see if I could fix it. We spent hours getting if fixed and finished. I sent this picture to Matt for how we had spent our day. I thought it looked great but a couple weeks later she covered it up with wood slats. It was good for us to spend the time doing this together though

Then we did the annual egg hunt in their backyard

The 2nd day the pool was open so we ventured out and made some new friends along the way

Maddi came down for part of the week and we celebrated her birthday with popeye pancakes

Love that we can go visit my parents and for the relationship they have with all of us. It was a quick but amazing trip.

Spring Break Arrival and Day 1

 For spring break Matt was out of town so the kids and I packed up and headed to St George. I love spending time with my parents even in if the guest bed is terrible. The kids couldn't wait to get in the hot tub.

The next morning we loaded up and headed out to go hiking

It was beautiful and I was grateful for my parents help in getting all the kids there and back safely. The fast rushing water and the cliffs were a concern for sure

My dad is one of my best friends and my biggest hero. I love him more than I can express. I am who I am today because of him

My mom goes out of her way to show love for our kiddos and I will forever be grateful for that

On the way back we stopped at my mom's job and saw the Christ statue that she loves and really wanted us to see.

We made a stop at Costco and they had Legos for a great deal so we snagged a couple sets for the kids

And of coarse more hot tub time because the pool isn't open this time of year

Happy 70th Joy!

 We were able to get together for dinner to celebrate Joy's 70th birthday. I made the trifles...her request strawberry shortcake and raspberry brownie.
