Liam's Preschool Graduation

The year went so quickly and here we are to graduation already. It has been strange being home for several hours each week since Liam has been at preschool. He loves Ms Syrina and all of his time with her. We loved getting to see all of his art projects then heading out to graduation.

Unfortunately Matt was out of town and I was both sad and frustrated that he missed such a big milestone but we had a great time celebrating Liam

Lined up waiting for his name to be called
They preformed several songs and Syrina gave them all awards for being amazing
We made him a candy necklace and he couldn't wait to eat it. I can't believe he's done with his 1st year of preschool

5th Grade Bike Ride

Every year the 5th graders ride their bikes from Valley Elementary to Huntsville Park where they enjoy lunch and activities before biking back to the school. I was invited to come and go and pull the trailer with Liam, water, and a medical kit in case we needed it. One thing I should've thought about is how much extra weight it woul dbe for me to pull and I should've done some training...lol

My riding buddy

Gracie and her buddies
Enjoying the activities at the park

Making string
Learning about Huntsville's history
It was a very slow ride back and there were times that Gracie and I wondered if we would make it but we just brought up the rear and helped along the way

Liam's Preschool Talent Show

The cutest talent show that could ever exist. Liam danced to I am a fighter fighter from Fire Buds in his fire costume. I love how much he loves all the rescue people.

Maddi Health Issues

Maddi has been having health issues and came to stay with us for a bit. I took her to see Dr Tanner to see if he could point us in the right direction. He gave her some things to work on but ultimately she felt like we needed to take her into the ER. They thought she might have meningitis so they admitted her to the hospital for antibiotics. To which she had a reaction. They ultimately only kept her 24 hrs and decided she was fine to go home? Doesn't make much sense to me but she's been fine so far. I had a really hard time being in the hospital thinking about sleeping there was unbearable so my parents were able to come up and stay with her. I was grateful to be able to leave and not feel trapped but I for sure have PTSD stuff that I need to work thru

Happy 8th Birthday Emy!!

Every time one of the kids turns eight we do Teppanyaki so it was Emy's turn. Maddi joined us then after we headed home to do cake, ice cream, and presents. Her arm may be in a sling but she's still just living her life minus she really wanted to go to the jump park but the orthopedic said no way

We love our Emy and we're so grateful for her in our family. She has a very similar personality to Hallie and loves to be given responsibility especially if it includes being in charge of other people. She is a great helper and we can't wait to see where she goes in her family.

CTE Open House

Weber Innovation has an open house to let the student share all they have learned and they invite the school district. The kids loved the petting zoom, flying drones, using robots, and watching them build a motor

Emy's Broken Arm

Emy fell off the monkey bars at school and landed on her arm/shoulder. We initially watched it but knew pretty quickly we needed to take her in so I called the pediatrician and she sent us straight to Mckay for xrays. Both of us were nervous but she did a great job. By how the rad tech acted I knew something was up and my thoughts ran wild and to all the worst case scenarios. I pulled the tech to the side and told he the situation and my concerns. He let me know that the break was bad and in a questionable spot for a growth plate that they didn't want us to risk leaving but they assumed they'd send us to Primary Children's. I told her I really appreciated her giving me some info. Matt was out of town and going back to PCMC felt pretty daunting. I did my best to put on a brave face for Emy.

Then they showed us the xrays and asked that we go straight to PCMC. I called the kids and asked Amy to go be with them and headed to SLC

After hours of waiting at PCMC ER they put her in a sling and set up an appt with an orthopedic in the next week. It really was a best case scenario although the experience was traumatizing for all of us. We started her with red light and use medicine to keep her comfortable
