Matching Pjs

When switching out the girls clothes as they grow out of things and found these matching pjs. I remember Hallie loved her hot chocolate pjs so much that when she grew out of them she was so sad so we bought the bigger size and now each girl has a set that fits them. I don't usually buy them matching stuff but they were both so thrilled to have matching outfits it was really cute.

These 2 really are best friends. I hope they stay that way.

New Years Day

New Years Day we slept in and then got ready and headed out shopping to find clothes for Matt and I's black tie event. We went to the mall and after a handful of stores the girls needed a break so they rode the Ninja Turtle Van and then they were ready for another couple stores before heading home.
After nap we loaded up and headed for Wolf Mountain to go skiing with Tiff and her 2 kids. I am amazed at how quickly Hallie has picked up on skiing and how much she loves it. She said excitedly, "Mom now I know how to ski can I have poles now?"
We definitely learning how to make the whole experience more fun each time we go. Taking lots of breaks is a main point with kids. Here are the many faces of Hallie during our hot chocolate break

And here are the rest of us enjoying Hallie's silly faces...and our hot chocolate
Here is Gracie skiing. She doesn't consistently love it. This night she was sad she said she was cold and wanted to be done after about 1 1/2 hours so we took more breaks with her while Hallie skied more.
Here is our "magic carpet" up the mountain

And our skiing buddies it was great to spend some extra time with Tiff and the kids we don't get to see them near enough

Brower Family Pictures on New Years Eve

At the New Years Eve party Matt's mom had asked that we do family pictures so here they are. I think pictures look better when you coordinate colors at least a little so Matt and I decided to at least coordinate our little family. I ended up running late from work but Matt was a rockstar. When I got home the girls were dressed and ready including hair done!! I jumped in the shower and finished getting ready in the car on the way to Tremonton. I think they turned out great considering they were taken in a Relief Society Room and after 13 hours of work.

New Years Eve

We aren't big New Years Eve people but aren't opposed to getting together and having some fun. With working at the hospital I have to work at least one holiday and New Years is always the 1st choice. So I worked the morning of New Years Eve and got home about 4pm took a quick shower and we were on the road to Tremonton to meet up with the rest of Matt's family.  We got there just in time for family pictures(I'll post later don't have them yet). Just a side note Matt did a great job at getting both girls ready(dressed, hair done, ect) before I got home so they were ready to leave when I arrived. Then it was time for dinner.

After dinner we let the kids open their gifts(we drew names with the cousins) and we were pretty happy with what everyone had come up with. Gracie got this darling penguin towel that she absolutely loves
And Hallie got a cute messenger bag that you decorate by yourself. She has had a great time coloring the way she likes it.
While we were opening gifts Gracie found a candy cane and went to sit under this little table to eat  it...we got a good laugh out of it
Matt and I received a lamination machine and sheets to use with it from Nick and Brit
Then it was time for some games for the adults and movie time to keep the kids entertained

The adults even played the Newlywed Game it was my favorite and I hopefully we will get a chance to play it again. It was fun to hear all the stories and answers to the questions.
Then we headed for home. I was beyond exhausted and well past all of our bedtimes. Once we got home and everyone bathed we all watched the ball drop on the 10pm news and then off to bed. Happy New Years!!!

Hardware Ranch & a Visit from Gram gram and papa

While my mom and dad were here we decided to take a day trip up to Logan and to Hardware Ranch. First we stopped for lunch and there aren't many times we get to Logan that we don't eat Chinese at Mardarin Garden because the food is so good. The kids had some time to entertain themselves while we waited for our food.
This is of coarse how it works I get a good picture of Rigs but not Hallie and vice versa
Hallie loved having her grandma around to read and play with....they even nap together

Every time I tried to get a picture of Gracie she cried and we laughed,,,,mean probably but once I stopped trying to take a picture she was fine.
Rigs was more than willing to share some of his many faces for me to take a picture
After our bellies we full we headed up to Hardware Ranch the kids watched a movie to we didn't hear from them very often if at all they were pretty zoned
Once we got there we got everyone dressed warm and went to get in line.
They were all so fascinated with the horses it was hard to get them to all pay attention for a picture so we got what we could

Here are the 3 little owls plus Kinley who now has a hat coming her way(grandma is going to make her one)
Our little Family
Papa helped keep track of these 2

Rigs was so funny when we got out in the Elk he was so excited and said hi elk, how ya doing elk, and best of all when he said watch out elk I come shoot you. This kid is a character

Last time we went there were about 200 head of elk and this time there was over 500. They came really close to the sleigh which made it really fun for all of us to see them that close.
After we got off our ride we were able to pet the horses that pull the sleigh and then we stopped to warm up next to the fire before we headed home
It didn't take long for these 3 to be sound asleep on the way home. It had been a long day full of fun and family. It was such a great day we are loving having Matt home and Gram gram and papa here to spend time with us.
