A Quick Visit, Owies, and Sleeping

We are doing our best to live up the rest of the summer we have. Mostly we have been lazy. Lots of naps and sleeping in which I love. Its going to be really hard to get used to getting up in the morning to get Hallie to the bus. The girls were playing with their ponies when Hallie tripped and knocked Gracie into the side table giving her a pretty good scratch/owie. She was really good to keep ice on it initially and I put some lavender on it which really seemed to help and it is healing pretty quickly.
The other day I went up and found Hallie asleep like this. I thought it was so funny but she looked comfy so I didn't bother her. I love that all my girls still nap. Yet another thing that will really change this year with Hallie in full day school.
Nate flew in on Wed to pick up his car. We were lucky enough to spend Wed and Thurs with him before he headed back to Vegas to get ready to start school in a couple weeks. The girls sure love him and the time we get to spend together just hanging out.
Friday I called Nic to come help me shop for the house. We went to Sam's Club, Home Depot, and Down East we didn't buy much but it was fun to catch up and have a second opinion. We grabbed some lunch at Sam's club along our way and somehow we all still manage to fit at one table.
Oh the crazy randomness of our lives right now. We don't really go far just in case Matt needs something. It makes me nervous to go to far in case he does. I like our simple life that at times we just stay in our pjs and do nothing. Ill be really happy when Matt can be part of this again. At least we get him on Sunday but it makes it really hard to want to go to church when he hasn't been home all week but we have been really good about going. Last week our friends Jon and Steph blessed their little boy and we were happy to be part of that.

Framing Week 4

Another week of trusses is underway and hopefully by the time the week ends they will be complete and they will complete the sheeting so next week we can get our other trades in and get Matt back to not working 18 hour days.

The girls have found very creative ways to entertain themselves. Although not all of them safe so we have had to keep a close eye on them but they are great to play together while I help clean the house up

Saturday Matt got some extra help in the form of Carson and Nick. Lately it seems like our help has been less reliable which makes it hard for Matt to get things done since he can't do most of it by himself. So we were extremely grateful it worked otu for them to come help Matt for the entire day.

Yet again the girls making a place to play. This "swing" was a big hit until dad shut the fun down:(
This concludes our week. I can tell Matt is getting frustrated that things aren't going faster. He is exhausted and missing us girls more every day. At this point all the trusses are up minus the timber trusses and the back patio trusses(we are waiting for the concrete to be poured in the spot footings) We were able to go up Sunday after church and lay out some more of the basement. I just really want to be sure that we have enough storage in the house. We also went over where they were going to put both furnaces and the air vents to make sure they were in good spots. This week we also met with 2 AV guys and a central vac which we are considering putting in. Now with the trusses on it is taking more shape of what the final project will be which is nice. With school drawing near Im ready for Matt to be done framing so we can keep the progress coming. Multiple people have told us how quickly the house is coming along but we don't really feel that way but Matt and I have always held ourselves to a higher standard so that is probably the problem. Matt and I talked on the way home about how it might be time to call in some more help and pay someone to finish the roof to free up a lot of Matt's time. I think its time to look for some more help and luckily Matt is also on board. I guess we will see how it goes

Smiles & Giggles

She just gets more and more fun. She is developing more personality everyday.

This is the cutest sweetest video and the first time Matt heard her giggle
Precious sleeping baby I still can't seem to cuddle her enough
Happy girl

Ohh what was that
Love this beautiful little girl and the joy she brings into our lives

Framing Week 3

There have been some major changes this week and the house is really taking shape. The house is pretty much framed and now they have started the trusses.

I have been so grateful and humbled and the number of people that have come to help us. I have only had to go up a couple nights so that Matt wouldn't be alone. He has had some great help that has made the work go so much faster. I am so grateful to the families that have let their family come up and help. Thank you will never be enough

Week 3 has come to a close. I think it is really starting to wear on Matt. He is exhausted but is pushing thru. I will be glad when he is back to just generaling the project. He said next time he will have someone else do all the work...lol. I say give his 6 months and he will forget how hard it was.
