Hallie's Fall Happenings

Soccer is started and in full swing. She is thrilled and has been anxious for this day. Matt is coaching and they ended up being a U11 team because of the older girls on the team. There are 12 girls on the team but a handful of them only show up randomly. Hallie is such a good well rounded player and has done great as a forward and a keeper. She isn't afraid ad goes for the ball. Some of the teams have been way bigger than us and played lots longer than some of the girls but they are improving each game and I think thats what matters.
In the fall the fog starts to sit in the canyons and I think its so beautiful
Hallie was chosen by her teacher to be recognized and have breakfast with the principal she was so excited and loved having a giant cinnamon roll and juice

Silly Emmy

This girl loves Cheetos anytime of the day and I frequently find her hauling the bag around the house. Good thing she's cute
She loves to read just as much as the other girls and I love it. We have started going to the library regularly and its so fun to see her develop her personality when her sisters are gone
And some days she just gets so tired we don't even make it home to nap although normally she does and sleeps for a couple hours. She loves to sleep with her stuffed Minnie, neck pillow, regular pillow and 2 blankies. When I tuck her in she asks about each of them and of coarse her 2 binkis

\
I love her sweet and sassy self and I really have been enjoying some one on one time with her since school started. She is probably our most particular child that likes to make sure things are put away and taken care for before she does anything.

Soaking Up the Last Days of Summer

The girls have made some great friends since moving to the valley. My favorite days are the ones where they all play peacefully outside enjoying the sunshine and each other. Since school started the days have become farther and fewer between with fall coming. But this one particular day it was so beautiful and hot so we pretended like it was still summer and played in the sunshine until it went down. I only hate that Hallie is in school and misses moments like this....I definitely miss her when she's gone all day.
This is Morgan, Gracie, and Bronson...Gracie's closest friends
That evening the forecast was looking beautiful for the following day so I talked Matt into taking the day off, letting the kids ditch school, and called a few friends to join us. We had such a great time the water was picture perfect and I had the most amazing pass on the slalom it was what I had waited for all summer.  The kids dance, played in the sand, and ate to their content. Em and "her boating" song. I love this girl and her spice for life
Shortly after I skied the wind kicked up and the weather turned bad quickly by the time we got back o our beach spot everything was scattered and the people that had stayed back were quickly trying to get stuff together and get out of there. The weather went from bad to worse with the waves getting so big they were coming over the side of the boat. We quickly headed for the dock to get the boat out of the water. Of coarse Em and Grace fell asleep and didn't even seem phased by the weather. It was quite possibly the scariest time I've had on the boat in a long time.  Once I dropped Matt off to get the truck I was sick to my stomach. How on earth was I going to get the boat on the trailer with the weather the way it was. Then I asked Hallie if she thought we should say a prayer and we both agreed we should. I said a quick and urgent prayer asking Heavenly Father to help keep the girls and I safe and helping me to have the focus and luck I needed to get the boat on the trailer as quickly as possible. After I finished Hallie trustingly put her hand on my leg and we were headed into the trailer. The boat got tossed around pretty good but Matt and I managed to get it on on the first try. Somehow it was also perfectly centered. I can't even explain the relief as we pulled out of the water and I realized that Heavenly Father knows me and heard me that day and we now were safe and sound on dry land.

Although the ending was rough we did have a great time prior to the weather changing. I have never seen the weather change so quickly on the water but Im so grateful everyone was safe and we made it home all well.

72 Hour Kit Fun

Matt made plans with clients to go to a couple events including the BYU vs UofU football game. I decided while he was gone we were going to get busy and we redid our 72 hour kits. It was time since we hadn't done it since before Em was born. And although I don't think we're completely prepared I think we are making good steps to getting there

The girls were a great helpers and had a great time doing some dressing up

Kitties and Bikes

Our cat had another batch of kitties the girls were all so thrilled. There were 5 this time and the girls have loved mauling them. They have since gone to good homes and we are just back to our 2 cats.
Gracie has been working hard to be able to ride on her 2 wheels and is doing great. Soon I think she'll be cruising around

When Mom's Away Dad and the Kids will Play

I ended up working Labor Day so Matt took the girl and had some fun. He has been wanting to take them golfing most of the summer but just have lacked in time to do it. He is so great! He got them all ready and off they went

Then he took them to play games at the arcade. He said they liked the arcade better than the golfing...lol

Then after I finished work we met up and headed on a much anticipated bike ride. I have been looking forward to this for months. When I got there I think everyone else was so excited

We rode until everyone started to feel tired and then turned around and headed back. About half way back we stopped to play in the water since we were so hot. It was a good choice and we really enjoyed it

Then we finished our ride back to the car. It was so awesome

We had a great time and Im so grateful for all the time we spend together as a family making memories and just being together

Dance Dance Dancin....Go Gracie

Brit invited us to their orthodontist swim party. We got there as soon as they started since we knew once the sun went down it would be cold. We didn't know they were serving dinner so we ate before but we did enjoy the Italian ice desserts that they had. Later in the evening they held a dance competition first for the kids then the adults. Gracie was so brave and actually ended up winning the kids group and Matt should have won the adult group according to the DJ but Brit got more cheers so she won. We were so proud of Gracie and how great she did

Gracie won a whole bag of goodies including a new spin toothbrush
Shortly after the event we loaded up and headed for home. We had a great time
