Yard Work, Little Accident, Muffin Maker, & Tire Troubles

When the weather starts to clear I have to not get to excited about getting the yard to ready because without fail it snows another handful of times. Emy is at the stage she loves to help and has become really good actually.

The other day coming over trappers I hit a wild turkey. It did a little bit of damage to my car and when we stopped we found feathers stuck in the front of the car

Em really likes to help cook or bake anything. The other morning I made some gluten free muffins and Em wanted to do her own so she made some regular blueberry ones. She is definitely a partner in crime
A couple weeks ago I took the suburban to have the air checked and they found a nail and fixed it and then a week later found this. Matt asked me where on earth I had been. I have no idea where all these sharp items came from. Lucky for me Nick is always so helpful and came to get me and the girls to take us to dance while the tire got fixed. When we went to go get the suburban they told us it wasn't all the way thru so they just pulled it out. I totally could have done that.
Our life can be a little random but I love it. Im so grateful for the life God has blessed us with

Disney On Ice

Round two for Disney on Ice wasn't a disappointment. We left early enough get there just in time for the show to start and then to get lunch at a Braza Grill. It was a fun day. They had quite a few non princess things from what we saw last time. Im so grateful for Matt and the fact that he is not only supportive but also willing to come and participate. i love this family of mine

Skiing Round #2

Unfortunately the snow wasn't very good this year and we only were able to get 2 skiing trips in. I was sad Matt missed both of them but we did our best to have a good time. The girls look so cute all dressed up. They were like little naturals the 2nd time around Gracie and Hallie would lap Emy and I but it was nice that we could all stay on the magic carpet. The older girls are still figuring it out the on and off the magic carpet. We lasted a couple hours this day then we headed home for pizza and a movie.

Hoping for better snow next year

Emmy is getting so BIG!

Em was getting to big for her toddler bed meaning when she would roll over at night she would hit the sides and just seemed uncomfortable so the sad day came for her to move to a big girl bed. Although the other 2 had moved to a queen size bed before this age it was usually because we needed the crib. And although we are trying to have another baby nothing has happened so it was time to make the jump. She is loving it. We moved the bed from the guest room into her room and moved the craft room next to Em's room. I think the house as a whole feels more spacious. It was a good move but I was still sad about it.
This girl loves the kitties luckily we have some very patient kitties
Yet again sisterly love...never gets old. Hallie is teaching Em how to build with legos

Happy LOVE Day

Valentine's Day is fun but I also think we should celebrate love everyday
Matt had to travel for work on the 14th so we let the girls open their gifts on the night of the 13th. Each of the girls got walkie talkies, dresses, and a few treats. They were pretty thrilled with that
The morning of the 14th we all got up and going early since we were helping to make breakfast for the 3rd grade.
Hallie made this cute frame that they later put a cute picture in
After we finished making breakfast we headed to the kindergarten to make slime. The kids loved it and it went so well.
Em made sure to collect all the treats she possibly could and eat them as quick as possible

I loved sharing in the kids parties. Its fun to see them interact with friends and yet be happier with their families. I hope it stays this way
After dance we stopped at Papa Murphys to get a heart shaped pizza and a gluten free pizza for me. While they cooked we got everyone bathed and ready for bed. It was a fun and busy day celebrating love. We missed our daddy and I missed him more than I anticipated I would for sure

School Volunteering, Valentines, and Friends Dinners

Em and I volunteer in the girls classes on Thursdays and this particular day Mrs. Ashment had me do a ton of die cuts and while I did that the girls kept themselves entertained with my phone apparently.

Typically while Matt and Cade are out of town we get together and do dinner. Frequently the kids don't eat but they play and Teann and I get to visit. On this night the girls somehow turned their box and candles into a birthday cake and candles. It was so cute
The girls have been working on valentines gifts for their classes they are doing Hershey kiss roses
Hallie is so great at taking care of Em and reading to her is a good thing

Happy 34th Birthday Daddy!

Matt's birthday ended up working out so great. He decided he wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. We got there early and found it was actually kids night. They did free face painting and balloon animals. The kids were thrilled. The girl painting the faces did such a great job. Em was terrified so she just watched.

Then the balloon guy came around and they all couldn't  get their order in fast enough. Hallie got a glowing rose and Gracie got a Ariel along with Emery's cat. This guy was so good

While at dinner we decided we would go see The Greatest Showman. The girls were so good and everyone really enjoyed the movie
By the time we got home it was to late to open presents so we did it a couple days later. Of coarse the girls wanted to help. Matt got some new clothes and a few other things he had asked for.

On Saturday we had and ice cream sundae bar to celebrate and since we had the nieces and nephews they got to join us. It was a lot of fun celebrating Matt. He is such a great husband, father, and just a good guy. I feel so blessed to have been lead to him and there is no doubt in my mind he is the greatest decision I ever made
