6462 E Summit Cove-Parade of Homes, House Ideas, and Giant Rocks

 Went up to the house to check on the subs and found these giant rocks in the backyard. I was definitely caught off guard but pleased to see that maybe we were making some progress. These rocks are way bigger than any other landscape rocks I have ever seen. Can't wait to see them in place.

We found a couch we really like for the basement family room. This time we went with all power recliners and I hope we like them. This piece was a close out so it was less than a $1000.

Matt and I would like to buy a new bed set but we are still in the looking phase

Hallie found this bed when we stopped at a furniture store in Utah county when we went down for the parade of homes. It was so pretty but we decided it was more than what we wanted to spend

We weren't sure the parade of homes would happen but we so excited when they were able to make it work and we could attend. There are always a bunch of good ideas and it was so fun. We are so excited about our new bunk room and this is an idea of what we want it to look like when its done. We enjoyed staying in the hotel and eating out things that seemed to be normal before covid but I really enjoyed something normal.

Matt decided that he now needs a golf simulator so we ran all the connections to a space in the garage for him to add that if he wants when we are done.

Cousin Swim Day Take 2

 

A week later and we were back at the pool enjoying another day. This time we just took snacks so the kids could swim longer. It has been so nice to live across form the pool. I can put Liam down for a nap and then head over for a couple hours with the girls. And then if the girls aren't done when he wakes up I just go get him and we come back for more swimming.

Making decisions means bringing home construction materials to see what we like. Liam decided to use the window sample as a place to sit. That's the cutest window I've ever seen

We go up to the house each morning and check on the subs. As Liam and I were walking around I stopped to look out the windows and looked over to see Liam looking into the floor vent. It took me a minute to realize that there was a hvac guy running vents to there playing with him. It was super cute. Im sure the workers don't see many kids on a jobsite regularly.

Smoothies!!!

 This boy has an obsession with all things smoothie. I was trying to find ways to get him to eat more fruits and veggies and smoothies were the ticket. Now to just find a cup that the smoothie will go thru well.  His favorite is currently strawberries, blueberries, mangos, spinach, orange juice, and sometimes yogurt.

Framing is finally coming together and taking shape. Some days it feels like we are flying and others like we might never be done.

Liam has never loved loud noises but now that he is getting older he is figuring out what to do when the noises are so loud. He would usually run to Matt or I and bury his head but he can now cover his ears. It's actually pretty cute. And now you can actually say, Liam its going to be loud and he covers his ears. He is growing so fast and getting so smart.

Liam has loved working side by side with Matt on the house When Matt uses a toll Liam is immediately looking for the same one. I think we may need to buy him a toll set.

Cousin Swim Days Take 1

We finally got around to spending some much needed time with Nic and the kids. I love the relationship we all have both when we're together and when we aren't. We decided to go to the pool since then we wouldn't have to worry about the sand. It was so much fun! I love my sister and all the time we get to spend together. I'm certainly not perfect but she has always loved me.

After our 7 little fishies got their fill of water fun we came home for some lunch. The girls made us hot dogs, chips, and watermelon and then once their bellies were full they were zombies in front of the tv.

Hopefully we can get a few more days in like this before the summer is gone. Days like these are the one I remember as a kid with my cousins.
