Christmas Traditions

Hoping for more snow for the sledding hill but for now we will work with what we have. The kids are loving it.

I love to shut all the lights off when it's dark outside and just see the beautiful tree. It is so peaceful and beautiful
Liam loved opening his christmas eve pjs

We love gingerbread houses as well
We also ventured out to see the Ogden Christmas Village. It was cold but the masks helped. I missed having snow on the ground
Grateful for this family we have to make memories with

6462 Summit Cove-Tile Work & Dining Beam

Although we moved in we still had projects to do. The basement kitchenette needed a backsplash so we decided to do the same one that matched the one behind the drinking fountain. It turned out great and I'm pretty in love with deep blues right now.

We also decided we had enough material to add a matching beam to the dining room and Im so glad we did. I think it ties the spaces together beautifully.
We also got the floor in the garage finished so we can park in there. I have missed having a garage

Norr Christmas Party

This was the first time we have done something like this but I don't think it will be our last. We did our own Thanksgiving this year with all the stuff for the house going on so we decided to get together for Christmas. It worked out great because we hadn't gotten to see their house since they moved in. We went the weekend before Christmas. Unfortunately Kimber ended up getting the stomach flu along with her kiddos so they didn't come after all. Some of us stayed at a hotel and others with mom and dad since there house is to small for all of us. We got together and did breakfast on Saturday morning. On our way from the hotel to my parents Liam dumped his smoothie on his lap and we didn't have more clothes so we made a quick stop at Target and got him all cleaned up and in new clothes. We hung out while the kids played and the girls and I made cookie treats for mom mom's neighbor gifts. Then we headed to a burger place in St. George for lunch its called Morty's it was one of the best burgers I had ever eaten. It was also huge. After we came home and watched a movie and did more hanging out and playing. Later that evening the kids got their gifts from my mom and dad and then while they were playing we, as adults, did a gag gift exchange. It was one of the best years yet. I don't have many fun or funny memories with Grandma Harris and it was one for the books. She was so fun. We laughed until we almost peed our pants. The pictures will show proof of why this happened. It was not a long trip but was fun to be together and make lots of memories. The time spent with family really is priceless.

Liam Update-9 Month Off Treatment Scans

This little man is doing so good. Although he is doing so well that hasn't done much for keeping the anxiety at bay. The doctors continue to keep a close eye on him to make sure that his cancer stays gone. His labs look as if he never even had cancer and he is hitting all of his milestone...how much more could you ask for. We are so thrilled to be moving into this new stage of life that doesn't involve cancer anymore. Im grateful everyday that he did so well and that it is over...I feel like for good.

While Krissy is on bedrest I have been taking the kids so she can stay off her feet. Its fun and an adventure to have 3 kids under 3 but I'm so happy she is allowing me to help.

I love all the snuggles I get from this little friend. He loves to cuddle and watch a show
I finally finished Liam's room. Time for a toddler bed

Liam did great waiting for his scan although when they did them he hated it
He has decided he loves jello and even more if he gets to help make it
He loves frozen fruit and smoothies for breakfast almost everyday. This particular day I found him on the couch with the fruit after I couldn't find it to make a smoothie.
With my dad working in Utah every other week we have gotten to see him a lot more than normal and it has been so fun to see his relationship develop with the kids. I love my dad...he's a good one
Shortly before we moved Liam started climbing in and out of his crib. I knew once we got moved we would have to move him to the toddler bed but I just wasn't ready for anything else before we moved.
He ahs also found some new hiding spots since we have moved. Luckily I found him quite quickly.
This is the update for Liam that I shared in our late "holiday" card
I’m sure you are all anxiously awaiting an update about our sweet little miracle. The good news is he continues to be just that. A shining light of a modern day miracle. He turned two in December and is thriving. He grew 4 inches between July and December and is now taller than all of our girls were at 3 years old! In December after scans and labs his oncologist said that from a medical stand Liam appears as though he never even had cancer. Words like that stop my heart and leave me speechless with gratitude and humility. With that being said we will continue to do consistent follow up for the next several years. Somedays it feels like he has grown up over night. He is constantly by my side, wanting to be held, and sit on my lap. He is my little buddy and partner in crime. He loves everything Mickey Clubhouse, Team Umizoomi, and Little Einsteins. He is obsessed with trucks, trains, tractors, pretty much all forms of transportation. He currently lines them all up and puts finger puppets in all the seats. Watching his imagination is such a fun experience. He is talking up a storm and has decided to have the picky toddler palate...I have to remind myself constantly when he does this and other “normal” toddler things that I don’t need to completely freak out and jump to the worst case scenario. He is learning and growing and we are loving having our little buddy happy and healthy.

Maddi Cosmetology Graduation

We were excited for Maddi to graduate and get going in her career. I decided to pull the kids out of school and all of us went to support her. They didn't do much of a ceremony but had her run down the isle and get high fives from all the other students. We had flowers and balloons for her waiting. I was glad we went to be there for her.

Liam's PJ Birthday Party

It was a week late but we got to have the big family party that we had missed out on the year before. This meant so much to me on so many levels. I found a picture of a cake that I thought Liam would love and Kinner's said she would make it. He loves everything trucks and construction right now. It turned out so cute...she did a really good job. He also loved playing with the trucks and eating the frosting off the cake.

We got matching pjs for Christmas but we decided to wear them for the birthday party. They were a pain to order and get here especially in the right sizes but we did it. They turned out so cute
This past year has tried us in a lot of ways I never thought imaginable but we are here and so happy to be together in our new home happy and healthy...especially healthy.
This will show you just how big Liam's pants were...but he didn't seem to mind.

Sub For Santa

Where do I even begin?!? One of the cancer foundations reached out to us to see if they could sponsor our family for Christmas. At first I was hesitant but she said this year they had more sponsors than families that needed help so I agreed. I sent her a list of things the kids wanted/needed and then waited to hear back about questions and a delivery date. It felt awkward but also a relief after the year we had endured. A couple weeks later I got a call that they never received the survey with the needs and wants back so I had them resend it and I filled it out again and sent it back. It wasn't until 2 weeks before Christmas when I got a call from both of them that I realized that they were two different foundations with two ladies with the same name handling it. I called to let them know what had happened and they laughed and said it was to late to change because the shopping had been done by the families. I felt horrible but there wasn't much to be done. So we were more than spoiled for Christmas this year.

When the first group came, the owner of Little Adventurers and her team, showed up with more gifts than I had ever imagined. About 10 per kid and I had only listed 5 things for each of them as options. They had brought a small beautifully decorated tree covered in ornaments that were filled with money! All in all there was almost $400 on the tree. I cried as they brought it into the house. The spirit of Christmas instantly filled our home and I felt overly blessed.

Can't wait to see what is inside of them and the surprise on the kids faces when they open them.
