Day 7-Fishing & Secret Beach

The airbnb we stayed in was a  duplex over by BYU Hawaii. It had 3 bedrooms 2 with larger beds and 1 with 2 twins. Hallie and Grace stayed in the bedroom with the 2 small beds and Liam and Emy shared a bed. They are both kinda wild sleepers so I was interested to see how they did. They actually did very well. As the trip went on we were all getting worn down. Going to bed earlier and sleeping in longer. We even hung blankets over the windows to block the light.

Unfortunately this was one of our earlier mornings and we were headed fishing. I have to admit I wasn't that excited but once we got there and got going it was so fun and laid back.
Our teacher was so great. He set everyone up. Emy and Liam needed help. I can't remeber the last time I went fishing but there were tons of little tropical fish that could be seen all we had to do was get them to bite.

Gracie was the first to catch something. She was so excited
Then shortly after Liam caught one

After about an hour the kids were ready for something else. So they did wave jumping/chasing. It was so fun to watch them laugh and giggle trying to not let the waves get them. I wish we would have spent more time doing this

And finding shells

The entire trip I had wanted to find a coconut to buy and drink the water out of. We finally found one on our way home. I was so excited and then found I didn't like it. I had everyone else try and they also thought it was yucky. It was pretty disappointing but Im glad we tried it.
We stayed as long as we could and then headed back to Kualoa Ranch to go on our Secret Beach Adventure. We rode the bus to the beach and then when we arrived we took a ferry to get to the island. It was more than we expected. They had paddle boards, kayaks, games, covered tables to eat at, and plenty of beach chairs. The kids loved the kayaks and paddle boards. We were having so much fun I didn't take very many pictures

We took a small boat out to see the fish and had some snacks

The time at Secret Beach went to quickly and we wished we would have booked the entire day. Since we had lunch recently we stopped for snow cones and ice cream.

Day 6-Moving to the Condo, Swap Meet Take Two, Kualoa Ranch Expedition

Today was our last day in the condo. Here are a few more pictures of our beautiful view.
And this cute boy that I couldn't live without. He is my favorite
After checking out of the condo we called the airbnb to see if we could check in early and luckily they said yes. Before we headed their direction the kids wanted to go back to the swap meet. They knew exactly what they wanted this time so it was faster for sure. We had just the right amount of time to stop at the airbnb before needing to be back to north shore for our last craft class. Some how I forgot to take pictures of the necklace and earrings we made. They turned out so cute and it was so fun to be back on the beach.

Then off to one of the tours I had been looking forward to...the jungle tour. Kualoa Ranch was beautiful. We chose to do the jungle tour. It was a good mix to get to see the ranch, where they did movies, and the beautiful views.

While we waited to load up the kids visited the horses and fed them some leaves. The horse tour sounded fun but our kids weren't quite old enough to do it.

The ride was bumpy but I think that made it more fun. The kids specifically loved when they would gas it and head up a bumpy hill. The views got more beautiful the higher up we got.

Once we drove to the top there was a small hike we could take to see the entire island.

This was our hike back down

This was a helicopter that was used in a movie shoot and then they left it and it has been used in other movies since.
Another one of the highlights of the tour was getting to see movie scenes from Jurassic Park. The kids have loved these movies for as long as I can remember.

When we got back to home base at the ranch we noticed they had a small petting zoo. There were a few turtles and goats. It took several pictures to get Liam to look at the camera. He was afraid the turtle was going to jump up and get us.

The kids begged us to buy some small legos sets and we settled on only buying one and once we opened them we were so happy we only bought one. The pieces were so tiny and it was near impossible to build. On the way home we stopped at 7 Brothers. It came highly recommended and we weren't disappointed. It was yummy.
