Any other year we would have attended a graduation for Upstart but this year, like many other things, its different. They sent everything we needed for graduation so we had our own private ceremony. Emy is our 3rd one to gradate from upstart and I'm pretty sure that Upstart is the real reason all of my girls have gone to kindergarten reading and I doubt Liam will be any different.

6462 Summit Cove-Decisions, Decisions, and Framing Progress
I knew I wanted a brick veneer for a wall but Janet didn't have great options. We found this really neat one at Floor & Decor. I love it!
Stair carpet
While we were shopping around to make sure we were getting the best price we found this carpet store and it is the kids favorite place. The employees said it was ok for them to play on the rolls of carpet and they think that's so fun.
We finally decided on a rock we like...hopefully it will look good. This time we went with real stoneMatt had the reach fork to put the timbers in place Liam thought it was cool for about 5 seconds and then cried until he got off.

6462 E Summit Cove-Landscape Plan Begins
We met with Glen a couple weeks ago and then he sent us home with 3 plans and told us to mix and match them how we liked and then he would draw it up for us. Here are the preliminary options

Papa Comes To Visit
Another work trip equals another visit from papa. Liam continues to warm up to him and he remains one of Liam's favorites. I took a really cute video of Papa playing with Liam on this little donkey. I love moments like this

Happy 4th-COVID Style
Our 4th of July looked very different this year but we still had a good time make a very memorable day. All of the Huntsville festivities were cancelled so we weren't sure what our plan was. One tradition we completed was doing star hair each of the girls wanted it a little different but a star at the end of the day.
One of the moms in the condo complex planned a parade so we went and participated in that.
On the 2nd loop the parents pulled out their water guns and sprayed all the kids
Milo didn't love any of it but the skirt was so cute. He survived
Then the girls opened their snow cone shack. They added several things to their "menu." They offered a hot dog combo that included a hot dog, chips, and a drink for $5. They weren't nearly as busy as I though they'd be but they made a good amount of money. Hallie does most of the work but the other girls help here and there.
That night after dinner Amy and Perry invited us over for fireworks. We were going to go to the lot but we just took our fireworks to share with them as well
I wasn't sure what to expect but it was still a fun day with different activities than normal but what matters most is being together and that we were.

Summer Fun!
Even though the world has been strange this year time still seems to be going very quickly despite my protests. At times things feel "normal." Im grateful that we made it through homeschooling and I hope to never repeat it. We are holding on to all the moments in our safe place in the Valley.
"Cheese" now holds a new meeting...look at those faces
Liam got a new hat Matt found for him. He looks so grown up and laughs every time he puts it on. I think it makes him feel bigger too.
He has started "talking" on his phone. Not much is decipherable but its so cute to watch him jabber.
Our days working at the lot are hot! The kids sat in the car for some shade.
