Fall Break Day 4-Long Drive Home

 Then just like that it was over and we were headed back home. We decided to drive the entire way rather than make extra stops on the way home. So we got up and got loaded and everyone fed and then off we went.

Gracie started to not feel very good. We hadn't really thought thru the possibility of car sickness but we still aren't sure if that's what it was or if she had a bug. Either way her drive home was less than stellar.

There were a lot of activities done to keep everyone busy. They read, did sticker books, puzzles, played on the tablet, and did look and finds.

It was such a fun trip and a fun new way to travel. Colorado was beautiful and we loved Glenwood. It did feel fast and I wish we would've had another day. But I am grateful for the time we did have and getting to see Nate and Kennedy was fun as well.

Fall Break Day 3-Glenwood Hot Springs

 Day 3 included an adventure to the hot springs. Having the camp site was nice because we ate breakfast and dinner at the campsite and lunch out wherever we were at the time. The weather was cooler than we thought it would be so the hot pools were nice. But luckily before we got there we realized that we had forgotten Liam's swimsuit so off to Walmart we went to grab one so we could swim for the day. Nate and Kennedy drove over the pass to meet us and spend the day with us. 

They had a really cool kids and large tubing area but the water wasn't heated so we ran back and forth between the cool pool and heated to stay comfortable.

We grabbed lunch at the poolside restaurant. It was super slow and we were starving so we were so grateful when our food finally arrived.

Then we headed back to our trailer for dinner and warm showers. Liam was stoked about making smores that night at the trailer.

Fall Break Day 2-Glenwood Adventure Park and Caverns

 We got to Colorado about dinner time and set up camp in the Glenwood KOA, had dinner, and called it a night. The next morning we got up and headed off on our next adventure...the Glenwood adventure park and caverns. In order to get to the park you have to ride a gondola. So we purchased our tickets and then headed up the gondola. I think this was a first for all of us and it was fun. The colors in the area were beautiful.

The kids wasted no time putting their lives at risk..lol. But for reals this ride swings you over the edge and you can see for miles. I have never been sad when we have a child that is to short to do a ride. I will be the one to sit out anytime.

They have the Glenwood trolls scattered throughout the park that were pretty cool

We stayed longer than anticipated so we decided to grab dinner at the top of the hill. The view from the restaurant was amazing. They had this rollercoaster that literally went over the cliffside. It's crazy what they can do with engineering these days.

The girls were really nervous about this ride that made you feel like you were flying but they ended up loving it.

Liam insisted on getting a car from the gift shop. This kid and his car collection.

Grateful for these days with the family together making memories!
