6462 E Summit Cove-Interior Work Begins

Finally the day has arrived to start something other than framing. It feels like we have been stuck on framing forever. When our subs actually show up when they say they actually get a lot done. We had no idea our roofer was coming but one day showed up and all of this was happening. That's always exciting
Electrical is coming along. It's super interesting that we spent a ton of time figuring out where all the lights would be and the switches for them would go and now the electricians are here and some of them just don't make sense so luckily we have been able to make some adjustments. There is a lot of wire going on in this box.
See all the plumbing...its coming along

And here is the HVAC stuff. With 4 furnaces there is a lot of duct that had to go in as well
Even fireplaces and tubs are in

Happy Anniversary To Us...14 Years

Matt had to travel to Reno for the day on our anniversary. Matt hasn't traveled in months but of coarse he had to travel on our anniversary. The girls did a good job celebrating with me. We watched our wedding video and had fancy dinner. The girls made a cake out of dirt, grass, and flowers. Although our anniversary wasn't anything out of the ordinary it doesn't change the love I have for Matt. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. With him we have built a life that we both only thought we would dream of. I'm glad we have forever!

Matt told me there was a delivery coming and that I had to be home to sign for it. He did say that it was some speakers but I didn't expect an entire pallet. When the delivery guy came to the door and asked where to put it I was slightly confused until I saw the entire pallet full of so many boxes. I quickly reorganized the garage so it fit and over the coming week the girls and I moved all the boxes down to Hallie's room so we could have more space in the garage,

6462 E Summit Cove-Parade of Homes, House Ideas, and Giant Rocks

Went up to the house to check on the subs and found these giant rocks in the backyard. I was definitely caught off guard but pleased to see that maybe we were making some progress. These rocks are way bigger than any other landscape rocks I have ever seen. Can't wait to see them in place.

We found a couch we really like for the basement family room. This time we went with all power recliners and I hope we like them. This piece was a close out so it was less than a $1000.
I loved this chair until I found out that it was $500 for 1 chair
Matt and I would like to buy a new bed set but we are still in the looking phase
Hallie found this bed when we stopped at a furniture store in Utah county when we went down for the parade of homes. It was so pretty but we decided it was more than what we wanted to spend
We weren't sure the parade of homes would happen but we so excited when they were able to make it work and we could attend. There are always a bunch of good ideas and it was so fun. We are so excited about our new bunk room and this is an idea of what we want it to look like when its done. We enjoyed staying in the hotel and eating out things that seemed to be normal before covid but I really enjoyed something normal.

Matt decided that he now needs a golf simulator so we ran all the connections to a space in the garage for him to add that if he wants when we are done.

Fun theater ideas

Oh all the feels with these labeled and organized containers

We are going to do one of these on our front porch. I think we will spend quite a bit of time in this thing
Gracie loves these colors and Hallie loves the accent wall and chair

Cousin Swim Day Take 2

A week later and we were back at the pool enjoying another day. This time we just took snacks so the kids could swim longer. It has been so nice to live across form the pool. I can put Liam down for a nap and then head over for a couple hours with the girls. And then if the girls aren't done when he wakes up I just go get him and we come back for more swimming.

Wild Blueberries are this kids jam. If there are days he is super picky I always know he will eat blueberries

6462 E Summit Cove-Oh The Adventures In A Construction Zone

Making decisions means bringing home construction materials to see what we like. Liam decided to use the window sample as a place to sit. That's the cutest window I've ever seen
We go up to the house each morning and check on the subs. As Liam and I were walking around I stopped to look out the windows and looked over to see Liam looking into the floor vent. It took me a minute to realize that there was a hvac guy running vents to there playing with him. It was super cute. Im sure the workers don't see many kids on a jobsite regularly.

Smoothies!!!

This boy has an obsession with all things smoothie. I was trying to find ways to get him to eat more fruits and veggies and smoothies were the ticket. Now to just find a cup that the smoothie will go thru well.  His favorite is currently strawberries, blueberries, mangos, spinach, orange juice, and sometimes yogurt.

Look at that cute smoothie face
