1st Day of School

The day finally came for the 2 older girls to go to school. They of coarse were super excited...mostly to see their friends. I also think it will be nice to have some normalcy in their lives. They have missed school. for sure. They had their outfits picked out for days and were up before I even went down to wake them up. They looked super cute. A couple changes for this year are masks and they each pack a water bottle since the water fountains are closed. They also have traffic patterns in the hall at school. Emy was disappointed that she got left behind but next week she'll get her chance.
Gracie's first day of 3rd grade

Hallie's first day of 6th grade

As I talked to the girls about their days the first week I noticed something...they didn't even mention the masks or any of the other safety measures they had put into place. Instead they talked about how much fun they were having learning from their great teaches and seeing new and old friends. It really showed me that the adults and parents seem much more bothered by covid restrictions than the kids. The kids really just wanted what was best for them which is to be back in school where they belong. Learning from those who know best how to teach them.
