Park City Weekend

This past weekend we decided that with Matt going back to school, teaching, and working full time we were running out of time to play so we quickly threw together a little get away weekend. We were originally going to take the boat but the weather was looking a little iffy so we decided to leave it home and play without it. Matt came home from work early on Friday and we loaded up and headed for Park City. We stopped at Wendy's and ate since all Hallie could talk about was swimming in the pool. We don't often stay in hotels..Im not sure why but this was Hallie and Gracie's first time(Hallie did once as a baby but she doesn't remember). So she was very excited. We checked in and ate pretty quick before suiting up and heading to the pool. The girls were pretty excited and we had a hard time holding their attention to get a picture.
The pool was a little cold so we rotated back and forth between it and the hot tub. Gracie wore her life jacket and Hallie her floaties. Gracie slipped on the rock floors a couple times and we were really glad she had it on to protect her head.
This is Hallie new thing for every smile picture she has taken she wants to do a silly face and then see it afterwards. Fine by me since she is more than happy to pose for pictures.
After swimming we headed back to the room to have a bath and watch a movie before heading to bed. Gracie struggled a little bit but finally gave up and went to sleep after about 30 long minutes. We all slpet pretty well and Saturday morning got up to head over to the Alpine Slide. I was the only one that had ever been on it so I told Matt we all had to do it. We fudged a little and said Gracie was 2 so she could ride as well. Here we are on the lift up to the top.
We got our sleds and headed for the tracks. The weather was pretty perfect...overcast with a slight breeze.
 And the scenery was beautiful

Hallie decided last minute she wanted to ride with me so Gracie rode with Matt. I could tell Hallie was nervous but once we got going she kept squealing and laughing say I thought this would be scary but its so fun
We spent the rest of the day at the outlets completing Hallie's fall wardrobe and getting Matt some new stuff for school. It rained on and off and the wind blew so we were really glad we hadn't brought the boat. We headed home just in time to get some take out and head home to bed. We also stopped at the grocery store to get some raspberry filled cake and some oreos to celebrate our anniversary on the following day. We usually go away for our anniversary weekend but we decided to postpone it and go later so we could all enjoy some family time before school starts again.
