Un-Quarantining A Little At A Time

Now that it has been six week we have started thinking about what life would look like after quarantine. We have started getting out to the lake, riding bikes, and just hanging out.

We decided it was time to venture out and see new people and family was a great place to start. We took our water slide bounce house and Gracie rainbow sprinkler. Nic got pizza and we told them they had to play outside. It was just what we all needed. About dinner time we cleaned up and headed home. All exhausted from a great day of fun in the sun.

We didn't have a pump for the sprinkler so Nic had the idea to use the leaf blower...it worked really well.

Were not sure what un quarantining looks like in the foreseeable future but we will slowly try things and see how it feels. But Im looking forward to more thing opening and being able to leave the house more.

Covid Can Be Fun But Exhausting

As of May 1 the state has decided to life some of its restrictions. I have been feeling for the last week or so that if Matt and I do our part that we don't have to worry about anything with COVID and our family will be fine. With that being said we decided to start branching out a little. First with family in small groups and then we'll see how we feel from there. Hallie has been so tired. We have been letting her ride bikes with one of her friends at Anderson cove to get out a little and I think its been wearing her out. And she seems to have taken to Milo the most. When she is in the chair reading, watching tv, or sleeping he isn't far away.
We set up a play date for the middle of the week because it was supposed to be the warmest day. It didn't disappoint it was so much fun and totally what we needed...all of us. Nic and I set up the sun shade and just visited as we watched the kids.

Liam is hard to get a picture looking at the camera but today we got a couple...I love it. This was Liam's first time playing in the water slide. I wasn't sure what he would think but he loved it and he and Griff were so cute playing together.

Nic couldn't find a pump to fill up the rainbow sprinkler so we used a LEAF BLOWER! I was skeptical at first but it all came together and actually worked.

This sweet little guy is currently my sidekick and although it can make it difficult to make dinner or get other things done I don't even care. The older he gets the happier he seems to be. He has gotten so fun and we are so grateful he is doing so well.

Such a great day but at 4 we decided to call it quits. We were all so tired and the kids started crying about all sorts of things so we headed home. We can't wait to do it again.

6462 Summit Cove-We Have A Permit

This is how we are house shopping these days...aren't we cute?!? I love this man. He is my everything. I don't care if we are eating take out in the car or shopping with masks on.
And after all of his hard work, late nights, and countless hours of worrying we did it. The permitting process was much easier this time, probably because this guy knows what he's doing. It only took 15 days to get our permit and really no major changes required. Matt has an endless amount of skill. Anything he is interested in he has the ability and determination to learn it and become an expert. Im so glad he is mine and has enriched my life and our family's life in numerous ways.

Now let's build a house!

Liam's Fight with Cancer-Urine Test Time

It has been 6 weeks and it was time for another cancer check up. This time just a urine dropped off at Mckay and then in a couple days we would hear the results. When we go to Primary's I put cotton balls in his diaper and give them to the lab but I guess Mckay doesn't do that so I had put cotton balls in his diaper and then tried to squeeze them into the specimen cup but I couldn't get anything out. I was frustrated and so I went back to the hospital and asked for a urine bag that I could put around his penis and scrotum to catch the urine. Once it was in place we went to the park and gave him a bottle of water and waited. It took about 30 minutes and luckily the bag had caught the pee. After 90 minutes of back and forth we finally had what we needed and I ran it into the lab and then we finally could head home.I hadn't been worried up to that point about follow up. I feel confident that he is done with all of the cancer stuff in his life but at the same time I'm terrified to be wrong. I did great until we dropped the test off and then I started worrying. I went back and forth for a couple days worrying then feeling peace that everything would be fine. By Friday the results still weren't in when the office closed at 5 by at 5:30 I check our account and saw there were new results available. It was them and now I had no one to explain the results. I called the on call oncologist and got to talk to Katelyn one of the oncologist NPs that we really liked. She was great we talked through things and she made me feel better. She put a note into Dr Fluchel to make sure we touched base on Monday. His Creatine was high but I guess in urine it fluctuates and so we will just check it in June when we do scans in blood work.

Liam has now grown out of most of his clothes and the clothes he is coming into make him look so much older and it makes me sad but he looks so cute.

6462 Summit Cove-Clearing The Lot

After we decided the hawthorns were to much for us to take on it was such a relief to get someone hired and up there to rip it all out. We hired a tree removal company to take them out. They did such a good job and it was such a fun thing to watch our plan all come together. Liam loved all of the equipment and it's so sweet to see Matt explaining all of the components to him.

Out With The Old In With The New---Piano

With my parents moving they offered to give us their piano and since we have grandma's piano that can no longer be tuned we decided to do what we needed to do get it here. So Saturday morning Matt and Hallie left bright and early to head for St George where they would help my parents unpack and get the piano. At the same time I listed our piano hoping to be able to switch them out in the same day. It ended up working so well and the people that bought the piano came about 30 minutes after they moved in the new one. The girls are loving the new piano.

Liam still loves that cute monkey. He cuddles up with him and off to sleep he goes. It is something I want to remember forever. Its so sweet.
While Matt was in St George I was loosing my mind. With the quarantine I have good days and bad and this was one of the worst yet. Amy text and asked if we wanted to come over and I was so grateful to have somewhere to go. The girls rode bikes, played in the dirt, and ate popcorn with M&Ms. It was just what we needed.
Liam even seems to like the new piano.

Easter...Like Never Before

I love Easter. It is probably my favorite holiday minus Christmas. I think we have the most traditions and fun things involved with that. I missed most of them this year. I miss watching Hallie play soccer, the egg hunt at Manor Care, being with family, ect. My mom was so sweet and sent the kids each a gift and stuff for an egg hunt. They all got new silky pjs!

Amy & Perry are so great and did an egg hunt on our car since we don't really have a yard this year. The kids were so excited and loved it!

We did the best we could with missing our extended family members and other traditions that involve other people. The kids said it was an awesome day so I think we did a good job trying to make it as normal as possible.
