Time to swim....Love my Co-Workers

Once a month during the summer months one of the neonatologists in the NICU invites th nurses and their families over to swim in their pool and play in their fun backyard. When the girls got up I told them what we were doing for the day. Hallie was so excited she said I have never been to a swim party with so many friends. We got there just after it started at 10 and the girls wasted no time getting in the water although it was pretty cool due to the recent rain and snow. There were several really fun toys and plenty of friends to play with. They all laid on the trampoline to get warm in between swimming.
The Neo has a snow cone machine, a popcorn machine, a soft serve ice cream machine, and a couple other fun treat making machines. So after some swimming we had lunch and a whole bunch of treats. Each of us that came brought snacks to share while we had lunch. It was a lot of fun.
We had so much fun hopefully next time it will be warmer to make the water more refreshing and less chilly. I feel so lucky to have great co workers as friends. There were plenty of kids to play with as well. What a fun morning

Take me out to the ballgame....Thanks ABC

Every year the ABC sponsors a night at the bees game for all of its members. So Thursday as soon as Matt got off work we loaded up and headed to the ball park. We got there about 15 minutes before the game started and just in time to get some dinner. They fed us hot dogs, chips, watermelon, baked beans, and a variety of pop. They had a bunch of seats that overlooked the field and the icing on the cake is that it was all in the shade!!! This cute girl was in heaven
Im not sure how many pieces of watermelon Gracie ate but it was quite a few...I think she liked it

And of coarse no night out as a family is complete without some selfies
And the silliness of us girls

Love this guy and how hard he works for us

 Loving her stuffed hotdog
Our view for the game...loved it
They had a very sweet lady doing free face paintings and she was so good.
 Gracie chose a lady bug
And Hallie a unicorn...at least the 1st time
Then she had a butterfly done on the other side. She was so in love with them
Such a fun family night with our little family they even gave our souvenirs. The girl each chose foam fingers, we also got a bat, and a game baseball.
Then time to head for home....oh you mean you never used your foam finger as a hat?!?

Pizza...its whats for dinner

Since I got my pizza stone for mothers day we have tried pizza in a lot of different ways. The girls love pizza and love to help so its a good combination. They are getting better all the time at keeping the food on the table and not themselves or the floor...lol
And the anticipation waiting for the pizza to cook is killer

Lake Powell Friday Day 3 and clean up

Friday started great we got up, grab breakfast, and headed out on the boat to enjoy the untouched water. Maddi had the worst luck with sunglasses she broke 2 pairs while we were there but we had to capture it. She attempted to duct tape them back together but it didn't help for long.
Ready for another day fun in the sun

 Grandma's 1st selfie with Hallie
After we all got a little wet it was time for a swim break as the sun warmed everyone up. Hallie loved swim breaks and asked about once an hour to take one.
This is Matt slalom skiing. He has been getting better every year since we got married. He is a trooper it isn't an easy thing to do
These 2 spent a lot of time on the back deck during swim breaks putting their feet in and hanging out.
Here is the dad babysitting section while Nic and I enjoyed getting out and doing some skiing
Rigs loved this hat. It has been around since I was little. Its levi and has mickey mouse on it...definitely a classic
Kyle really wanted Rigs to wake board with him but Rigs had no interest. The boys devised a plan to trick him into going. They had a rough 1st start but did better the 2nd time trying to get up. He still didn't seem to like it and cried most of the time but here are the pictures to prove he did it even if he never does it again.
Kyle even tried putting him on his shoulders but I don't think he liked it either way. Nic was a good sport and attempted not to have a panic attack in the front of the boat
Then the wind started blowing and didn't look like it was going to quit. We headed back to camp to check on things and pack lunch so we could head out into the lake to enjoy our lunch. The wind was so bad it was like the sand was pelting you. Once we had our lunch packed we found a cove to hide from the wind and eat our lunch. After lunch we did more cliff jumping and swim breaks.
After lunch the wind was still blowing and the water choppy and thats when the imagination came out. We decided to play a game with the flat tube. So 2 people would go out and get up on all fours and you weren't allowed to hold on at all. It was actually quite entertaining and funny.
We did this for a couple hours before we knew it was decision time.
The wind was still blowing like crazy and the weather forecast showed that it wasn't supposed to let up until Sunday so we decided that sadly it was time to pack up and head for home. We got back to camp and everything was covered in sand. We stashed all 4 kids in the tent, Matt and Kyle headed to load the boat, and Nic and I did our best to get everything ready to load so we could leave sooner. It was miserable. While doing all of this it was hot, we were sweaty, and the wind was pelting us with sand. We got things loaded and headed up to the showers to clean up only to find that the water was off!! Seriously we couldn't win. So we then drove down to Walwheap to take a shower only to find out we had to pay to shower there but by then I didn't care. We then headed to dinner in Page before we all headed our separate ways. Mom and dad headed to grandmas in St. George, Nic and Ky to his sisters in Cedar, but Matt and I decided to be brave or stupid and head for home. We left Page at 9pm so that put us getting to Ogden about 4am. But we decided I would sleep first and then we would trade about half way. Matt ended up driving the whole way and we just visited. We only made one stop for gas and made it home about 4:30am the kids did ok but were unsettle sleeping most of the way home. Hallie would wake up crying that her hear was hurting I tried just about everything but I figured she was just tired. Saturday morning Grace was up about 8am so she and I started unloading the boat and the suburban. I Have never seen the boat such a mess. There was sand everywhere and it took a long time to clean it all.
While I was unloading it all I saw this on the passenger side tire on the boat. I don't know how we made it all the way home with it like this but I am very grateful we did. It could have been really bad. So when Matt woke up he took the boat down to the Discount tire and bought 2 new tires for the boat so we would be safe to drive again.
When Hallie woke up about 9:30am she was still complaining about her ear hurting so I call the dr and since she had an ear infection a week prior they wanted to see her again. So while Matt was changing out tires the girls and I headed to the dr. And surprise Hallie had an ear infection in the opposite ear of the week before. They had to clean some wax out of her ear so the dr could get a better look at her ear drum. She did so well the assistant kept commenting about how patient and still she was being. In the end we got different medicine and headed for home completely exhausted.
We got everyone bathed and Gracie was back down for a nap before 10am. She told me she was tired and I said if your tired go lay down no thinking she would really go to sleep but she must have been so tired.

It took all day to get everything out and sprayed off. We were all so tired and got in a good nap in the afternoon and headed to bed early that evening leaving the rest of it to be put away the next day. Its a good thing it was a fun trip because it was a lot of work.

Lake Powell Thurs Day 2

Thursday was a great day from the start we woke up to perfect water and the temperature was for lack of a better word perfect. We had all gotten good nights sleep and were ready to go. All of the kids loved helping to drive
Maddi's poor friend got her hair stuck in the velcro in the knee board and it was stuck bad. We ended up using conditioner to get it out
Our daily get up...this girl loves the boat. Not really interested in skiing quite yet but she does like the tube
This is Hallie's daily get up. She is more interested in trying new things more and more. She now love to ski and tube.
These kids are the 3 amigos
And more tired boat victims...getting some much needed naps. Can you see both Hallie and Gracie and asleep on my lap
After some rest they were up and ready for more fun aka swim breaks
 Nic Wakeboarding
Maddi and Dad tubing. This is the first time in years I have seen my dad on a tube. They rode all the way to the marina for ice cream. Always a great treat from the heat.
The kids had a blast whether in the boat or on the beach They played with their toys, built sand castles, swam, floated, and played several made up games on the beach front
Then once again bath time after dinner
Then the best evening of the whole trip....it was beautiful
It was a full moon, no wind, and the temp was perfect

Just right for a fire to roast marshmallows and eat smores

Such a perfect day and evening. My favorite of the entire trip! We once again slept amazing and woke up ready for another great day.
