Hand, Foot, & Mouth Disaster

Poor Emy what started as a short fever turned into something so much more. Hallie had hand, foot, and mouth, as a 9 month old but Im not finding it was such a mild case. Em's case was the worst I have ever seen. She was miserable and now 2 months later she actually has finalized the symptoms. After about 2 weeks she was feeling better but then her nails started to fall off and they have continued to do so. I wont complain about the cuddles though I just hate that most of the time they have to feel yucky to cuddle and sleep these days. We tried so many creams and lotions as well as home remedies and finally one of the creams seem to work and she got some relief. Im glad we got thru that though

Last Day of School

The last day of school we had a water party with the Bingham's and an ice cream party to end the night.
The following day we went to Classic Fun Center and this time we went more prepared with our scooters and skates

Yeah here comes summer

Last Week of School

Mrs. Lewis had a fun end of year program with a video and an art gallery with the kids art the last week of school. It was fun to see how proud the kids were of all their pictures and how much they have grown and bigger imaginations and better writing and coloring. Gracie got the most likely to be a leader in the future.

The weather is getting better so we have been spending more time outside in the sun...makes me so excited for summer

Day 4- Headed Home

Sunday morning we got up and got laundry going. While we were getting everything packed and cleaned the girl played and ate breakfast. I still can't say enough how easy it makes things when your kids just get along
The washer and dryer struggled and we ended up hanging most of the sheets up to dry in the closet and headed for home. We had a great time and memories with the Roland's. We do wish we would have had more space for everyone to sleep, wifi, and cable or at least some sort of tv that really worked. It didn't take long for the girls to fall asleep. Hallie spent her ride home reading so no nap for her but we were all so tired from such an awesome weekend.
Matt and I have very few friends that we really spend time with and it was so fun to get away as families and just forget about real life and have fun. I did have a few bumpy moments not feeling well but a heating pad, zofran, and some rest did the trick. Luckily it was a pretty laid back weekend.

Day 3 St George & Red Rock Hike

We knew after experiencing the heat the day before that we needed to be up and going earlier so we wouldn't cook on our next hike. It was a beautiful morning. We double checked and this hike was only a mile so we knew we could hike this one in a much shorter time frame.

So there was supposed to be water all along the way and a water fall at the top but it was already dried up. I was so disappointed and it made the hike a little lame for sure

There was a small pond/puddle where the waterfall was supposed to dump into and some sand the play in and the girls made the most of it and played a ton.

Then once again we retreated to the pool and unnoticed to me both Matt and I took the same picture

That evening while we made dinner Hallie ran a class in the open area in the shade. The girls all played so well together and had such a great time.
This is the point of the trip we realized how much we missed wifi and cable. It was hard to have down time with neither of them.
