Laundry Basket Fun, Baby Kitties x9, and Hallie's Pre-Birthday

With Liam sick things have been pretty low key. We had stake conference this weekend and the girls found some interesting ways to entertain themselves while we took care of Liam.
Dounut also had another batch of 10 baby kitties! She had them in the window well of the girl bathroom. Luckily she was willing to let us move them so they had a more safe and comfortable place to sleep.
My parents came to visit and since they wont be here for Hallie's birthday she was able to open her gift sooner. It was one of the best gift she could have been given! She loves everything about rocks right now.

Unfortunately one of Donuts kitties died. The girls were devastated. Matt was out of town but luckily my parents were here so my dad dug a hole and we buried it. The girls made it a headstone and decorated it. They named her Angel.
A couple weeks later the girls tried to dig it up so they could see it....lesson learned! We had a good conversation about how we shouldn't do that.

Grandpa Kerry's Birthday

Lucky for us Liam was feeling better when Grandpa's birthday came around so we could go out to lunch with him. It was a fun day celebrating another year older.
Matt was able to take a day off because he was gone over the weekend and spent the morning in Tremonton helping Kerry lay sod. I think that Matt has really realized lately that his parents wont be around forever and wants to spend as much time as he can with him.

Oral Herpes...dun dun dun

Oh man! Oral herpes is the worse illness we have ever dealt with in this house to date. It's been terrible. Liam wont eat, sleep, he cries constantly and its viral so they can't do anything to help him. On top of it he is getting teeth. In total I have given him Ibprofen and tylenol round the clock for 5 days and syringe fed him for 4 days! He has the sores on his top and bottom gums so its to painful for him to suck on a bottle. Matt and I have been taking shifts so we can get at least a little sleep. I go to bed between 9 and 10 pm and then Matt stays up with him until 2 am and then I take the rest of the night since Matt has to be to work. Luckily he hasn't had to travel these last 10 days because I truly couldn't do it alone.  The brief times he does sleep are few and far between and so he is exhausted on top of all of the rest. The dr did give me a "recipe" for Magic Mouthwash that is kids Benadryl and Maalox mixed 1:1 and put in his mouth with a mouth sponge 3 times a day but it doesn't seem to be helping much.

Emy got a mild case of it but it has worn her out
I wont complain about the sleeping cuddles though. He's getting so wiggly so Im loving the cuddles

Can you see the sad sores around his mouth? They are terrible and have been there for almost 3 weeks now. I started putting melaleuca, bag balm, and coconut oil on it but it just wont go away! But the great thing is that he is back to his happy self and eating.

Upstart & Preschool Orientation

Emy was so excited it was her turn to finally do Upstart and after we dropped the girls off at the bus we got ready and headed for orientation. She was so excited when she finished her testing and was given a badge. Luckily Liam was good while we wrapped up the information.
The girls all colored our themes for the year. Emy loves Ms Syrina and asks to "play" Upstart every morning.
Then a couple days later we were able to go to Ms Syrina's circus themed welcome party. She was given tickets and they played games and had snacks. She loved it and can't wait til she gets to start preschool and dance next week. This was a crazy remeinder than next year at this time she will be going to kindergarten! It will be a sad day but I know she'll love it and be successful in whatever she does.

Box Elder County Fair & Parade

The second day of school the girls requested curly hair and they looked so cute. They were also really excited about getting to go to the parade and fair after school. Every year our school starts before the fair so after school we load up and head for Tremonton to enjoy the parade and fair.

This year since Maddi moved up here a couple days before for esthetician school. We were so excited to be able to spend more time with her and have her join us.

Afterwards we had dinner at Kerry and Joy's house. We decided it was late and forgo the fair this year. When we got home the girls were so hyper on sugar that they weren't listening and wouldn't get in the tub so I told Matt I was going to pick them up and put them in the tub fully clothed. The girls freaked out and laughed so hard I thought they might pee themselves. So after that we had to strip them out of their wet clothes and get them washed and out into dry pjs. Its really hard some times when they don't listen and I know they can be so much better but quite a few times since then when they aren't listening they will talk about getting put in the tub fully clothed.

First Day of School

Hallie 5th Grade-Mrs Georgi

Gracie 2nd Grade-Mrs Woods/Mrs Gobar

These cute girls wanted to have matching outfits and then they decided to wear them on the first day. I love their relationship

They were also so excited about their pierced ears

Maddi was so fun to have around and the girls were so thrilled when Maddi offered to take them to the bus on their first day

Last Day of Freedom Fun

With our summer coming to a close I wanted to surprise the girls and do something they would think was very cool. When I started thinking about what would be fun all of the girls are very artistic and so I decided that Color Me Mine would be a great place to start. When I wouldn't tell them where we were going they were sure we were going shopping or somewhere boring. When we pulled up they still had no idea where we were or what we were doing. But once inside they were super excited. They each picked a project and started the process of picking colors and perfecting their individual items. It was so fun and Liam did great hanging out in the stroller.
Hallie's Mermaid
Gracie's Elephant bank
Emery's kitty mug
We took pictures after they had finished painting. I ended up helping each of the girls so I was glad I hadn't gotten a project of my own.

Then we did some wandering around to see the horses on Washington. The girls love these horses. They are all decorated differently and are placed along the sides of Washington in Ogden throughout the summer.

Then I told the girls I wanted to run to the mall. They continued to whine and ask how long we were going to be and when we could go home. They were hot, hungry, you name it they complained about it. Everywhere I had read said to take them to a tattoo shop for ear piercing. I was a little unsure because I had never been to a tattoo shop little lone take my 4 kids but all went well and when we got there and they realized what was happening they were freaking out and so excited.
Hallie went first because Gracie was so nervous but they both did great.
After that we headed home and the girls thanked me over and over. They had loved the entire day. Im not ready for them to go back to school but I know that they will do great. I can't believe how quickly the girls are growing and changing. It was a fun day and I can't wait to create more memories with them.
