A New Toy for Liam

Liam is getting more and more interested in the world around him. Now that his neck control is getting stronger he was trying to jump on our laps so we decided to pull the jumper out and it was a big hit. He loved it from the first time we put him in it. The only problem is he looks so big in it. In some ways Im relieved that we have made it thru some of the newborn stages but sad that we will never experience it again with babies of our own.
With the weather warming up we headed out to do a little yard work and Liam was content to watch and do some jumping in his snow suit

Liam isn't a fan of the bumbo so this is the first big toy he has liked. Its nice to have something that he likes and can see whats going on in without being held.

Piano Recital

The girls were so excited to have their very first piano after several years of taking lessons. They made sure to practice lots and although they had their songs memorized they still wanted their music in case they got nervous. They were both rock stars and didn't even seem phased by all the people.

They both played a duet with Teann and then a couple songs by themselves

About a week before the recital I started thinking about what we could do for Teann to thank her for all her hard work helping our kids learn the piano. I decided to see if the other parents wanted to pool our money together and get a bigger gift. Lucky for me everyone was on board so the girls and I took a day and went to gather everything for a gift basket. We were able to buy several restaurant gift cards, pampering supplies, treats, and other of Teann's favorites. I'm super mad at myself that I didn't get any pictures of her with it. She was super emotional and seemed to really like it.
I love that the girls are liking piano. I think it is a life long skill that they can use in so many areas of their lives. I wish I would have stuck with piano

Liam's Blessing

On Easter Sunday April 21st Matt gave Liam a name and blessing in our Huntsville ward. It was a beautiful day filled with lots of family and friends. We were so excited for those family members that made the effort to be with us and celebrate our special day. Matt did a great job and it was another one of those things that is completely bittersweet knowing that Liam is our last little one that Matt will be able to give a name and a blessing to. Since church was at 9am we did a simple brunch with several different kinds of muffins, fruit, and bundt cake.

Our cute boy in his blessing outfit
What a brave and strong women Kim is she packed up all her kids and drove all the way from Vegas alone to spend this entire weekend with us. I love her and how many sacrifices she makes to spend time with us.
When you ask Tyler to take the family pictures

This was our first "real" event without Corey and his absence was definitely felt. The trio just isn't the same without him.

Our 3 generation picture
The blessing was an amazing way to wrap our fun and family filled weekend. Im grateful for our family and all of their support.

Fun Pack Easter Weekend

I was super looking forward to Easter weekend. Since we were blessing Liam Kimber was coming from Vegas. I love the time I get to spend with Kim and Nic. They truly are my best friends and I love letting the kids play while we visit. Maybe someday we'll live closer so we can spend even more time together. We went on multiple walks that always included adventures. This day they found a stream of run off water and of coarse wanted to check it out.
We also made time to dye eggs. I love this kitchen everyday but especially on days like today
The weather was so great not cold, no rain so it was so much fun to spend time outside
My parents brought stuff for an Easter Egg hunt and the kids had a great time. Its fun to see my parents spend some time with the kids and make those memories that the kids will remember for a long time
Emy & Lyia
Addy really like Liam...as you can see

We also had edible craft time
And still plenty of time for cuddles with this little guy. He's growing so fast and Ill take all the cuddles I can get
Manor Care Easter Egg Hunt tradition continues and we got to share it with some of our favorite people. Kimber, Tiff, Brit, and all their kids

Everyone got a huge haul of eggs and prizes

I love the relationship I have with this girl right here. She is the best
This is how we roll. Hallie had a soccer game so Matt took Hallie to the game while Kimber and I took the other kids to the hunt
Then we quickly loaded up and headed for the remainder of Hallie's soccer game. It was a cousin pile up

Then we were all hungry so between Hallie and Kinner's soccer games we went to Pizza Pie Cafe for some yummy food. Poor Liam when I went to change him in the bathroom had blown thru and while I was trying to change him every time someone would flush the toilet of dry their hands with the blower he would freak out and scream because it was so loud. It broke my heart.

After lunch we headed back towards home and the Easter party at the park. There wasn't a ton to do but what their was was really fun.

While prepping for dinner Addy was our food tester and she loved it.

We had a delicious dinner complete with Matt's amazing BBQ. Im glad he has found something he enjoys and the rest of us benefit from as well
We finished up the Easter Egg hunt by Grandma & Grandpa just in time for the storm to roll in and the wind blew and it rained like crazy so it was perfect timing.

Matt bailed a little early on our Easter festivities so he could attend one of the Jazz playoff games. e turned it on and within minutes saw him. The girls always think thats so cool to see their dad on tv. And although we missed having him home I'm really glad he was able to go. He loves attending the games
It was a fun filled weekend so far and we weren't done yet. Liam's blessing is tomorrow.
