Halloween Happenings

This Halloween week has been so fun. The school had dress up days which added to the fun the whole week. First was crazy hair day

The day of their school parties they got to dress up and wear their costumes

Emy was not into pictures this day for sure
Sports team day
Shae(Gracie's friend) had a friend party and we went over to help Jessica(her mom) to set up. I also work with her at the hospital.

The ward did their trunk or treat earlier in the day so we could also do traditional trick or treating. It was in the church parking lot and it was so fun. This was probably the first year we all dressed up including milo. I was so excited for Liam to wear and drive his fireman/truck. It was a hit and we ended up giving most of the little kids a ride. Liam looked so cute.

Then off to trick or treat around town
After about an hour Hallie went off with her friends. Matt and I thought the other kids would be done within the hour but we ended up walking around past dark. The kids candy haul was crazy. We ended up putting more than half of the chocolate in the freezer.
Some pictures from Emy's Halloween week at school

Mrs. Thurston put a spell on all the class and turned them into mice.

Swat Soccer Halloween Party

We decided to host what has become the annual soccer party now that the season is over. Pinterest helped us get some cute ideas and we started with the food.

We started by eating pizza, soda, and having snacks

Then we played minute to win it games
And hungry hungry hippos

One of the girls brought a fun candy game that we played as well.

Liam's Fight with Cancer-19 Month Remission Scans

Liam is doing so well. The process for scans has once again changed we try to roll with the changes but it is so hard. One benefit of having covid was that Liam didn't have to be tested for covid. This go around they scheduled CT scan and labs then an office visit to follow. Liam did great getting his weight and height done and enjoyed some coloring while he drank his contrast and waited for our time slot. Once it was our turn they took Liam back and put him to sleep before placing his iv or doing anything else. Although letting them take him and listening to him cry for me is heart breaking I think this was one of the smoother scan appointments we have had. The trauma was less than the other times because he didn't have to be awake to have his iv put in then also be taken from me.

When we got to the hospital they were giving these stuffed animals away and he picked a cute sloth. He hauled it around the entire day

I'm working on myself. The anxiety associated with his follow up appointments at times is unbearable. I get physically ill. I am so blessed to have Matt and my family's support. Days before his scans they call and check in often and make sure to make a point to tell me that they have been praying for him and feel like he is going to be fine and all results will be good. I find so much peace in that. I too feel like he is going to be great and that he is done with cancer and will live a long and healthy life but my fear gets in the way of those peaceful feelings. Matt is also so great to reassure me he too felt like Liam was going to be great. Im taking my anti-anxiety meds and using my coping skills from therapy. I do feel like it is getting better and I'll continue to work on it.

1st Season Swat Comp Soccer

When we found out that Hallie's current team could no longer play AYSO and would need to find a new team or create a new team. The wheels were turning for the entire team and their families. After a lot of conversation Matt decided to start a new team and we joined the SWAT organization and our team was able to stay together. We are looking forward to watching this team grow and learn more. I love that Matt now has the time to commit to coaching with his position at Conxtech.

Random October Pictures

The kids and I went out to dinner one night while Matt was out of town. They do so great when we go out usually but Liam has become quite the ham...if you couldn't tell. I love them. They make life so fun.

So far this season the weather has been pretty great but this game that Hallie was asked to play up with Kade's team was miserable. It rained then snowed then the wind blew. They made it through and were so tough but after the game hot chocolate was definitely in order.
We got our first snow. I hope its the beginning of a huge heavy winter
Fall signals so many things to me among one of them is caramel apples. I love to make them and then send them to the school for all the teachers and staff.
Liam and I have been to a couple of the toddler classes at the library and Lima loves it...until I want to take his picture.
Now that we aren't renting the garage out for boat storage we decided to clean it out. It's amazing how much dirt has been collected in this garage
The day after we got out of quarantine for covid Krissy was having a really hard time so we ran to Layton and picked up the kids so she could rest and have a break. We took the opportunity to get out for some fresh air. The kids decided Hallie giving them a ride was a better idea than walking.
