Manor Care Easter Egg Hunt

When we planned to go to Logan I had asked Joy watch the girls. She said she was planning on Kerry coming to help but it ended up that she was only there to sleep and Kerry took care of the girls the whole weekend. I felt so grateful he was willing to step up and do that. I was so sad that we were in Logan for the Easter egg but luckily Kerry was willing to take the girls. It is something they look forward to every year and this year was no different. I had asked Britt if she minded coming with her kids and helping if needed with our girls. Im so glad they got to go even if Im still sad we missed it.

They love to find the golden eggs thats always the goal and at least one of them always succeeds

They ate to much candy and had a blast doing that until that night when they all ad tummy aches. I think it was really awesome of Kerry to take the girls to do that. I appreciate him taking care of the girls while we were gone.

Parrish's Kitchen Remodel

Brett & Erin have always been terrible with projects but with their income they always end up with a fixer upper of a house. Erin found a deal on cabinets and had some people lined up to help but I really felt like we needed to go help. I talked to Matt and then called Erin to make a plan. We decided Easter weekend would be our best option. Thursday afternoon Kerry arrived to watch the kids and we headed to Logan. We wasted no time getting demo going.

By the end of the night we had all the demo done and had everything preped for Friday morning.
Matt and I headed back to our hotel that night. We showered quickly before passing out in bed. The next morning we had breakfast at the hotel before heading back to their house. We wasted no time getting going again. Erin and I took a load to the dump while Matt ran electrical and worked on the dry wall.

Erin and I grabbed lunch on our way back and after refueling Erin and I started the floor while Matt finished the electrical and drywall. I even patched some spots on the floor with new sub floor.

The floor went in pretty quickly and we decided once the floor was done we would break and go out for dinner
Pizza Pie cafe was a hit and just what we needed to refuel. Then we called it a night before our last day
Saturday we were all pretty tired to start but we were determined to finish.

The electrical ended up being a bigger problem than anticipated so we didn't get the appliances back in but everything else was pretty much wrapped up.

It was an exhausting weekend but we were happy we got to help although I don't know that we will do it again though.

Life with Triplets

Teann's sister, Rachel, went thru the temple so we kept the girls. Let me tell you they kept me plenty busy. After a couple hours we needed to get out so we took a walk down to the volleyball court and the kids had a great time playing in the sand.
Then they were happy to play at home again while I made lunch
Before Teann came to get them they all got tired but did well playing together. I think 1 is pretty easy compared to 3.
Although it was a ton of work I loved watching Emery playing with her friends and them be so cute

Activity Days

They recently put Sister Layton in as the activity day leader and she has been so awesome for the girls. She made this recreation of Jesus's tomb for Easter. It came home with only grass seeds and she had to water it every day so it would grow. It was the perfect center piece for our Easter dinner.

Spring?

Every time we think the weather is warming up it seems to snow again. Never a bunch ...like I hoped but enough that our days include lots of cuddling on the couch.

Breakfast with Daddy

Matt has been traveling a lot as usual but the one thing that we all cherish is the time he is home. The late mornings and days he stays home with us. On this particular morning Matt took the girls to breakfast before school for donuts. I remember my dad going into work late and taking us for donuts it was my favorite. Although I will say we had way better breakfast options in Tremonton than Huntsville for sure. We sure love Matt for all he does for us. We miss him like crazy when he's gone.

Half Beef

I have always been interested in doing a beef and when the opportunity presented itself we decided to go for it. We split the half cow with Kade & Teann and then bought extra ground beef for my parents. I think looking back a couple months later we could have done without the steaks ect but we have really loved the ground beef and would totally do it again.

Hallie's 3rd Grade Drive Inn Movie

It's a tradition at Valley Elementary for 3rd grade they can earn a drive inn movie. Each child has to reach a certain number of reading hours in order to participate. Hallie had no issues with that and quickly started making plans for her car. She wanted to do it herself so we went to the store and picked thru their boxes. Im bugged I didn't get a picture of just her and her car. She didn't want to paint it all just added mirrors, a snack box, headlights, steering wheel, pedals, and some handles. She did a great job and really did nothing. I feel like she is growing up right before my eyes. She is my 2nd in command when Matt is gone or when I don't feel well. Im so grateful for her and the relationship we have
