35 Weeks

Im trying my best to enjoy the last few weeks of pregnancy but sometimes I find it difficult. Im still feeling pretty good. I don't feel huge and Im still sleeping well. I made this shirt when I was pregnant with Gracie and it seems a little strange that this will be the last time I wear it. Im so nervous to meet this little friend but Im also terrified about how he will change the dynamic of our family.

Happy Halloween

Halloween fell on a Wednesday which made things a little crazy. I dropped Emy off at preschool as soon as I could and then headed straight to the school. To its annual Halloween parade. The girls looked so cute.
Hallie some how ended up handcuffed to the girl in front of her and she couldn't stop laughing
After the parade I headed back to Emy at preschool and her Halloween parade. Until about a day before Halloween she wanted to be a kitty but then decided last minute she wanted to be Elsa. Either way she looked super cute.

Matt had to travel this so we talked to the girls and they voted to stay home, get pizza, and watch a movie. I was completely ok with that. When it came right down to it I think they were a little disappointed they didn't get to go trick or treating a bunch more so next year we we'll have to have that discussion. It was a cold night so they seemed ok with just visiting the neighbors and calling it a night. Im not a huge fan of Halloween and what it stands for so I was happy to stay home, have pizza, and take it easy.

Happy Pre Halloween

Manor Care is my favorite place for both Halloween and Easter. The activities they offer are so fun and give the girls the opportunity to interact with the older generation that they other wise wouldn't get. This year the girls opted to go as Hallie-Sorcerer, Gracie-Kitty, Emery-Elsa

The treats at the end are a definite bonus
The girls never seem to complain about the candy we end up with as well

Then off to Sure Steel to finish off the trick or treating, bounce house, and dinner

I feel like this has become something I look forward to as we have gotten to know more of the families at Sure Steel. I have found that I don't feel as alone in the fact that I feel Matt works to much and travels to much. Most of the wives seem to feel this way. It was fun to visit while the kids wore themselves out on the bounce house.

Uh Oh

Emy has such a desire to be independent and some times she forgets she still cant do everything by herself. On this particular day she wanted a brownie and as I got up to help her get one she dropped the pan off her lap and onto the floor shattering everything into a million pieces. She was so sad and apologized so many times. I was just glad she was ok and wasn't hurt. She was also super upset that I wouldn't let her eat a brownie because they were all now full of glass. It was super cute to hear Gracie reassure Emy that it was just a pan and that we could buy a new one but we were just glad Emy was safe.

Weber Football

Sitting in the suite box at a Weber game is something we look forward to every year. The girls seem more interested in the cheerleaders than the actual game but they were interested none the less. This year the game we got to attend was at 4pm which was perfect. We ate at the buffet in the suite and then had plenty of snacks in the actual suite. Kelly always does a great job having fun things to entertain the girls as well. They got color books and some CMT colored pencils this year along with the usual noise makers, pom poms, ect.  Unfortunately this year they invited some extra donors so their weren't enough seats to sit outside and watch the game but we kinda wandered in and out so we could watch the game. Nate and Shar joined us this year and that was super fun. Shar and I have become great friends with our pregnancies in common and the fact that our husbands work a ton!

Another fun night at the game

Black Island Farms

Fall traditions are some of our favs. I haven't been feeling great but I didn't want that to change traditions so I made plans for Matt to be able to come with us and lucky for me he is so great about trying to make time for us always. The pumpkin ride and pick was first. The weather looked way warmer than it was and the wind was so frigid so even though we had come in jackets and I thought prepared it was pretty chilly. Each of the girls quickly found their pumpkin.

We had a few members of our group that were late so the guy driving us was a little grumpy and skipped the rest of what we usually do. No broom corn, no carrots and cabbage, and no discussion about the farming. A little disappointing but what can you do? Once we got back with our pumpkins and put them in the car then we were off to spend some time at the activities.

Even though it was super cold the girls were oblivious and loved being able to run free and play to their hearts content. We ended up spending a couple hours before we called it a day and headed for home. It was another fun trip to Black Island Farms and something we will continue to do as long as the girls are interested in it.

Kerry & Joy's Concrete

Matt's parents yard is slowly but surely coming together. The concrete is a big piece of getting everything finished since certain things can't be done until its finished. Its going to look great when its all done

Owwwwie

Some sickness has found its way to our house. Unfortunately it hit Matt pretty hard and he ended up with strep. Thank heavens for the online dr visits so we were able to see a dr late at night on a weekend and they were able to send a prescription in. After about a week he started feeling better . Thank heavens for modern medicine.
And poor Gracie got her finger smashed in the door when I picked them up from the bus. It was pretty bad but because of where it was there wasn't much the dr thought they could do so we did our best to get it put together and her comfortable.

It healed nicely and continues to do so. I hate seeing people I love not feeling well but Im grateful for my education that allows me to care for them the best I possibly can. To help in any way I can

33 Weeks

This week at my appt I had what I assume is my last ultrasound since he is getting to big to really be able to see. He is still measuring a couple weeks ahead but at this point it hasn't effected when he will be evicted.
