Riviera Maya Mexico Day 2

The time change for sure helped for a very slow start to our morning even though the time change was only 2 hours different. We woke up barely in time to catch breakfast then the kids couldn't wait to get to the pool. We loved how the hotel rooms were U-shaped and all the amenities were within the U. There were 3 pool plus an adults only pool. One of the other pools had a playground in it.

We took pictures while Matt got us towels and it didn't take him long to get the daquiris flowing either.
We heard them announce water Zumba over the speaker and the kids wanted to go check it out. It ended up being of our favorite things the entire trip. I loved how close to the ocean the pool was as well.

When we needed a break from the sun we went to check out the kids club and the other activities. The kids loved the air hockey, foosball, and small trampoline park.

Matt's favorite part may have been the beach volleyball every afternoon
There was plenty of sand castle building
This is the hotel in the background. there were a couple times the girls played as well

That afternoon they had a wedding on the beach...we were for sure some of the spectators

The 2 girls on the edge of the pool watching are Hallie and Gracie
Then Gracie and Matt watching

To be honest the food was hit or miss. I expected more Americanized food and got more world cuisine. It did make it tricky to find things we all liked but we did our best. Last time we went to Mexico I remember the fruit being so amazing and this time it wasn't I was pretty disappointed. The buffet did have a pasta/pizza bar and a taco station that we ate at pretty frequently.
