The ward party was a little different than usual. This year they did a dinner instead of a breakfast but it ended up being fun still. They had it catered this year by Mo Bettas...it was yummy. Then they taught anyone that wanted to to play the hand bells. All the girls wanted to try but Liam just wanted to watch so he was my watch partner.
Then just as they sang the song to welcome Santa's helper the "snow" machine started. At first it was super cool and then it became slick and everyone started to cough...so they had to shut it off.
All the kids sat on Santa's lap some were happier than others about it but at least they all got to try.
Liam was terrified and hated it hopefully next year will be better
After Liam ran away I was able to talk to Santa's helper and talked to him about Liam. Although last year we didn't have a ward party because of Covid but the year prior he was also Santa's helper as well and I guess all the girls had asked for their little brother to get healthy instead of gifts that year. Neither Matt or I had any idea. But when I talked to some friends in the ward they said when it happened there wasn't a a dry eye in the room. We definitely felt those prayers.
