Norr Summer Vacation-Anderson Cove

We decided to put together a little last minute summer vacation here in Huntsville at Anderson Cove Campground. We decided to get on in late May and see what was available. Luckily we found a pretty good spot. Because we live here we haven't ever been camping here so it was going to be new to all of us. We borrowed Kerry & Joy's trailer so it would make it easier since we still don't have a tent. Matt had to work and be at the house so it made it really stressful for me to handle running back and forth to the house for nap and bedtime for Liam. Matt and I took turns staying at the condo with Liam and then would get them all back together in the morning.
It was so fun having the girls in their matching swimsuits. They all looked so cute
I think one of the highlights of the trip was the kayak rides that the kids gave one another.

We weren't really sure what was going on with the boat until the day we went. The boat is just getting old and the problems are getting bigger and more expensive. But we got it fixed but it just about pushed me over the edge worrying about the boat and being with the kids alone. I didn't do much boating but my kids loved it.

I love when our kids that never fall asleep anywhere but in bed fall asleep its so sweet. Poor Gracie was exhausted.
Of coarse there was sand castle building and of coarse a lake

Kimber was great and brought activities with the kids. They loved the playdough and it was nice that we didn't have to super clean up because they were outside
I think Liam's highlight of the weekend was playing with the trailer door which was terrifying since the stairs were a huge drop off but he luckily never fell out but that didn't stop me from worrying the entire trip.

Everyone enjoyed boating until Dad hit a giant stick and messed the props up and put an end to our boating to the weekend and it also started a much needed conversation. Are we really into this boat? Do we want to continue to put money into a boat that is getting more and more outdated? And ultimately the answer was no. The day we went home we cleaned out the boat and everyone took what they wanted and then listed the boat. It sold for double what we were thinking in less than 24 hours.

It was a fun yet stressful trip. It's fun to get together and especially have all the kids together to make memories. I especially loved the chats with my sisters. I can never seem to get enough of them. Im so grateful for them in my life.
