Jazz Night at the Aquarium

One of the benefits of our Jazz season tickets is the events they have periodically as a bonus. They went out an email in Nov asking for people to RSVP if they'd like to come but you could only have 2 tickets. Matt and I decided we didn't want to have another night apart so Matt reached out to the girl in charge of the event that in the event they had extra tickets could get get 6 total. She said yes and a couple weeks latter let us know that they had extra tickets and that we could all come. We picked up Matt from his office and headed to the aquarium. They had us get in lines to meet the Jazz players and while we waited we got to watch the fish in the tanks.

While we waited in line the Jazz bear wandered around and greeted the guests. Liam was terrified to be anywhere close to him. So he hid with me for our picture but the girls loved it.

Then it was finally time to meet the players
Then we made our way to the next line
Then we rotated again
And then our last one was upstairs with the other exhibits
They had a lizard for the kids to pet. I don't love reptiles for sure
I think some of our favorite trips have been to San Diego Sea World so it was fun for the kids to pose with this whale.

On the upper level they had half a boat and they had a great time pretending to be driving.
I think the kids favorite part of the night was this rope bridge in the Amazon area. It was very humid and warm in there so that was fun for awhile. Initially Liam didn't want to try in but I told him I'd try it once with me and if he didn't like it he didn't have to do it again. After the he cried when we told him it was time to leave.
Love this family of mine and all the fun things we get to do together
There was a screen that you could pose in front of and change the back screen. Emy's face is my favorite.
When we drive by the aquarium when it's dark the kids always point out this aquatic frame so we grabbed a quick picture.
Liam wasn't having it. He was mad we had to stop playing on the rope bridge and it was time to get home. So we took a picture of just us.
After the picture we noticed some popup shades and tables. When we got closer we realized they were giving away crumbl cookies as dessert for the event. They gave the kids each 2 or 3 cookies and they had a variety of flavors so needless to say the ride home was pretty quiet with them eating their cookies.
