I happen to stumble upon these beauties during a middle of the night nursing session with Em. I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do in the laundry room but I knew that I wanted something different than the kitchen cabinets and colors and when I saw these I knew I had to have them. The current owner was remodeling and just wanted to get rid of them. I could hardly contain my excitement and it took pretty much all the self restraint I have not to wake Matt up. So once it was a reasonable hour I was able to show Matt he liked them as well so later that evening we picked them up and $500 buck later we have awesome laundry room cabinets. Now I can't wait to put them in the house!

The Dream Begins
The time has finally come and we are ready to roll. Thursday 6/25 we got word that our permit was ready to go. Matt stopped by the county to pick it up on the way to our closing for our construction loan...the time couldn't have been more perfect. And here it is in the physical form.
Friday the surveyors got everything staked out so the hole was ready to be dug. The plan is to dig the hole Monday 6/29 and we couldn't be more thrilled.
The pan is to be done by Nov 15th and get moved in before Thanksgiving but I hate to get my hopes up so I am hoping we are in by Christmas. We are so excited to get started but I'll be honest I had no idea how much work goes into a self build home. There are so many choices to make and it definitely isn't for the faint at heart. I get worried that one finish wont match another but the parade of homes has given both of us a reassurance that we should just pick what we want and it will all work out.I'm so glad to have Matt by my side that we are finally getting the chance to do this together. Im looking forward to looking back at these posts to see the progress we have made as the house progresses.
Movie Day with Cousins
Tuesday we were able to meet Brit in Brigham and take the kids to see Inside Out. It was good had a few slow parts but I think its a great way to teach kids about their emotions by bring thing them to life.
After the girls played a train game while I got a few minutes to visit with Joy and Brit.
They even figured out how to line up from biggest to smallest
Swimming with Friends
Once every couple of weeks some of the girls I work with put play dates together. There are so many little kids that we all have it is a lot of fun to get together. Leta one of the neonatologists has a pool and once a month we get together at her house and play and swim. She has a snow cone maker, a frozen yogurt and popcorn machine. We each bring food to share and she cooks hot dogs for everyone. She has 5 girls herself so they help with all the kids and do activities with them. This week they did sparkle tattoos. Im not really into letting the girls do stuff like that but they did them with glue and sparkles. Here are some pictures of our fun day
Hallie was loving the diving board...she has become brave lately.
Happy Father's Day
Father's Day was pretty laid back at our house. We spent the morning relaxing and Matt enjoying the gifts the girls and gotten him. We also were able to call Matt's dad and skype with papa.
Then we headed to church. Hallie was so excited to sing for her dad. Afterwards we came home to have Matt's favorite dinner...ribs, mashed potatoes with white gravy, rolls, and cheesecake for dessert. We sure love our dads and all they do for us. Also for their example and their neverending love and support.
Gracie's 1st Haircut
The girl's hair was in need of a trim and they we both excited to have a girl day and do that. Gracie especially since she has never had her hair cut. She of coarse wanted to go first and held so still.
Then it was Hallie's turn. She didn't want her a-line back so we just trimmed it up some everything was even.
Afterwards we went to free lunch. While Hallie and I were in line I heard Gracie yelling at me and turned to find her in the tree! She is such a little monkey and was thrilled when I asked if I could take her picture in the tree
Parade of Homes
Parade of homes is something that Matt and I look forward to every year. We have gone each year since we got married. This year is a little different since we went looking for ideas to finalize our house we have been dreaming of building for years. The girls have also become very excited about going to the houses and picking out the things they like for their rooms and playrooms which I think they are the most excited about. We have been doing a couple house a couple nights a week after work and then about 5-6 on Saturdays. It can be pretty crazy to take 3 kids but they have been really good for the most part. Each time we go out we lay out the rules and they are pretty good to follow them. This is a picture of the biggest shower I have ever seen the girls thought it was pretty cool.
This sweet little Emery was just a long for the ride she would wake up to eat and then hang out before going back to sleep. Isn't she darling? Such a sweet & beautiful baby
Im excited to put all the years of the parade houses to work in our own home. I just now have to narrow down the choices . I have so many to choose from that I love. I also love that this has been something we could do as a family. Now to build a house!
6 Weeks!!
This little girl is already 6 weeks old. I only wish I could freeze or at least slow time down. She is such a good baby. She is now officially out of her newborn clothes(she is to long for them) and newborn diapers(they were getting a little snug). She is still eating about 3 oz every 3 hours during the day and going a 7 and a 5 hour stretch at night. She is starting to smile although Im having a hard time catching it on camera. She is also starting to find her voice which is so cute.
The girls are really loving having a baby sister. They are a huge help to me and so loving towards Em. They are always making sure she is taken care of. They love to hold her and Hallie has gotten really interested in feeding her so occasionally we give her a bottle so sisters can help feed her.
Brigham City Pool with the Browers
Monday afternoon Brit called and invited the girls and I to meet the rest of the Brower family at the Brigham pool for the afternoon. I was a little hesitant since I would have the girls by myself and Em is to little to really play in the water but after talking to Matt I decided there was no better time then the present to try it out. So we got ready and loaded up(an hour later) and headed to Brigham. The girls were so excited and the excitement didn't end when we got there. It was fun to see everyone. I am so grateful for Ris's great kids that are so helpful and good with my girls it really helped me to relax with their help. Tiff was also great and took Hallie and Gracie to the slide. This is Gracie taking a break with Madison.
Em did great! She was content to sleep in her carseat by the side of the pool while we played.
Gracie was so cute! They had music playing and she loved dancing around in her own world. I love her outlook on life
Hallie on the other hand has found an adventurous side of herself. She spent most of her time on the slide. Racing back and forth to see how many times she could go down the slide
Of coarse as we were leaving I realized we hadn't taken a picture of all of us so this is the best we got. Em sleeping while these other 2 cuties pose for the camera. Hallie has become quite the poser for pictures lately and Gracie is pretty quick to follow. Grace completely looks up to Hallie.
Once we got home we quickly changed every ones clothes, fed Em, and picked up Matt before getting back on the road to head to Tremonton for dinner. We got there just in time to feel our bellies with yummy food and visit with everyone
Emery was once again content to sleep while all the festivities went on
It was a fun exhausting day spent in the sun having fun with family. I wish they were closer so we could do it more often but we will take what we can get.

Getting so Big & Rig's 4th Birthday
I have really been enjoying my Sundays home while Matt takes the girls to church. I just try to soak up all the time I can with Emery she is getting so big so quick. I love to watch her while she sleeps.
After Matt and the girls came home we got ready and headed to Nic and Kyle's house to celebrate Rig's 4th birthday. The girls were so excited to see him and wasted no time telling him and singing happy birthday to him. After we had dinner we headed inside where it was cooler to do presents and cake and ice cream.
Rigs had an Avengers cake with blue frosting that quickly turned all of the kids faces and tongues blue
I love the time these kids get to spend together. They love each other and I love getting to spend time with my sister who is one of my best friends. It was a fun day celebrating with family and enjoying our little one
A Fun Laid Back Saturday
Saturday morning Gracie was so excited to watch cartoons and hold Emery so she could watch with her. It really is so cute how much the girls want Emery involved in every aspect of their lives. They all just love each other.
After we all got ready and Matt loaded up the girls new bikes in the truck so we could go practice riding bikes at the local cemetery where there is plenty of space not much traffic.
While the girl rode their bikes Emery was content to ride in her car seat in the stroller for a walk
It didn't take long before she fell asleep on our walk either
Hallie was a little nervous at the beginning. Last fall she started riding without training wheels but we haven't gotten out until now so she was starting over. Matt was so patient and great with her to help her get back at it in no time. She was so excited.
Once the sun got up it got hot pretty quickly so then we decided to call it quits and head for somewhere cooler. We decided to head to Layton to the lighting design center to pick out our lighting fixtures for the house. It was a lot of fun. I found some lights that I love like so love and even better we can make the budget work so we can have them! A little at a time we are getting house stuff taken care of. Then we headed home for lunch, naps, and to relax the rest of the day.
