Oh my goodness we had so much fun at the Midway Ice Castles. I have been wanting to go the last couple years but it has never worked out so I told Matt this year I wanted to make it a priority to go and Im so glad we did it was a blast. There were so many rooms, tunnels, slides, and places to explore. Its amazing what you can do with some frozen ice. We picked a great time to go. Our appt was between 5-5:30. We got there about 5:20 and got checked in. We got to look around and see quite a bit before it got dark but then we also got to see the entire thing lit up with different colored lights. Just as we were finishing there was a huge crowd of people coming in. I was glad we had avoided the crowd and got to see everything both in the light and dark. It looked so different in the dark vs light. We read online to bring a sled rather than a stroller and what great advice that ended up being.
We decided to go on a Wed since Anna and Elsa are there to greet the guests and do pictures.
It seemed so much more fitting that the princesses would live her rather than Disneyland to the girls...I would have to agree
The kids loved the slides. There were about 10 in total
My favorite times are spent with this amazing family of mine
This was the biggest and longest slide. Em was to little to go so we stood by the tunnels and waited so we could see them come by.
This man of mine is my greatest blessing
We really had an amazing time. We had totally come prepared for the cold and all of us were dressed in our entire snow get up form head to toe. No one got cold and Hallie and Grace were so sad when we had to leave although we spend almost 3 hours there. When we went to leave the lady said you guys lasted a long time. I guess most people spend about an hour. We stopped at Arbys on our way home, girls request. It was a late night but we really had a fantastic time.
