The kids were counting down the days until we could pick our puppy up. I text on Tuesday to check and make sure we were still good for Saturday and Julie(the breeder) said he was ready to go at any time. The kids were freaking out. I talked to Matt and we decided we would go get him Wednesday after work. The kids were so anxious for Wednesday to come and for Matt to finish work. We grabbed dinner quick before we went to get him. Of coarse they all wanted to hold him and they couldn't agree on a name so he came home nameless and got passed around a lot.
On Tuesday night Gracie and I ran to the store to buy some essentials so we would be ready. Since we ordered supplies on Amazon I didn't want to go overboard but we needed something for him. He seemed to take to us pretty quickly and settled in. We had picked out a microwavable small stuffed animal that we warmed up and put to bed with him. We had been watching some YouTube videos so we knew how to train him and we were set. For the first couple weeks he got up once in the night to go potty and then has since been sleeping through the night.
We bought a baby gate that you can make into a variety of shapes so we could keep him in a certain space so he didn't pee everywhere. It works really well.
He seems to be fitting in without family well. Matt has been taking him and Hallie to go running at Anderson Cove in the mornings and it really helps to get out his morning wiggles. He sleeps in his cage in our closet but the girls would like it if someday he can start to sleep with them.
The crazy positions he sleeps in is humerus.
So far Milo seems to be fitting in very well. He is smart and picks up on things so quickly. He loves the kids and is so patient with them. I think we'll keep him.
