When Matt and I asked Hallie what she wanted to do for her birthday her first response was to go to the demolition derby. Since the derby wasn't the weekend of her birthday we did the next best thing and bought her tickets for a couple weeks better. She has been so excited and telling everyone she got to go the the demo derby. This was a little different it was in Oct so it was cool. It had rained most of the day so we tried to go prepared with warm clothes and stuff to use just in case it decided to rain again. I put Em in her wrap and she was snug as a bug. We enjoyed some hot chocolate and spiral fries
They also had a kids derby where they basically played bumoer cars with power wheels...it was Hallie's favorite part
This was the best heat. The "cow" the car we were cheering for hit a car so hard it flipped it over and landed him on top of the other car. The kids thought it was really funny.
Silly Girls
They came around in between heats and chose 20 kids to come out and do a balloon pop trick or treating. Both the girls were so excited
They had some great characters there for the kids to see and talk to. It really was so much fun
The weather got cooler as the night went on and by 10:30 we were getting cold so we stayed long enough to watch the trucks then headed for the car. I love our remote start when we got in the car was nice and warm and ready for us to drive home. I really enjoy the demo derby and I love to be part of our kids experience new things. I can only hope they continue to be so willing to try new things and become more well rounded as they grow up.
