We decided to stay home this year and check out all the Huntsville festivities. We watched movies and stayed up late just spending time together. Em crawled over and laid on Hallie while we watched the movie. It was really cute.
We also painted nails. Red and blue with white polka dots. The girls were very patient and held really still
Monday morning we got up and ate at home before heading down town for the parade. We found a perfect little spot for us just a few minutes before the parade started. They were ready with bags in hand for the candy.
All ready for the parade to start
Someone handed out flags and my girls were so excited to wave them
Nem even got was excited to have a flag
After the parade we headed over to the park and wandered around the booths before we headed for home for naps and lunch. Then we got everything ready to have a BBQ and fireworks with Matt's parents and Chris and Krissy. It ended up being a pretty laid back night that was a lot of fun. All of the kids loved the sparklers and we were able to watch the fireworks in Eden, Liberty, and Huntsville from the front porch. Matt even put us together a playlist of patriotic songs.
