Disney California Adventure Day

Thursday  after a day of rest we were ready to get back to the park. We got there before they opened because we found that worked really well. While Matt went to get fast passes the girls played and watched the fountain. I loved their matching jackets I thought it was so cute to see them dressed the same

We rode the Toy Story ride a handful of time before it the line got long. It was one of our favs

When the line started to get long we moved on to something else. We were walking around and noticed that a few of the characters had pretty much no lines

After our character visits we headed over to see Disney Jr Live...I think it was probably Em's 2nd favorite thing next to Mickey and the Magical Map

After it was time for our Tower of Terror fast passes. Matt took both the girl and I stayed with Em while she slept in the stroller.

Neither of the girls wanted to go again they didn't really like it. Hallie said it was to dark which made it to scary. I didn't blame them for that because I don't like it either
Then we caught Tough Enough to be a Bug. The kids liked running around the cave while we waited for our turn.

The show was pretty dumb and I was kinda applaud that they even had it when they gave the disclaimer that most people leave because it scares their kids. I hope in the near future they do something different with the theater. Then we wanted to try one of the water rides. For some reason it depended on the ride whether they would let Gracie in or not. She really wanted to ride Grizzly Rapids so we put rice krispie treats in her shoes before we headed over to the ride...worked like a charm

Then we headed over to Ariel's Grotto for our lunch with the princesses. We got the girls all changed into their princess outfits and then we were ready to go.

Once we got checked in they gave us a buzzed that would alert us to when they had our table ready while we waited Em and I went to check out the souvenir shop across the boardwalk. Em loves jewelry...if you couldn't tell
Once it was our turn we first saw Ariel. Em loved her and basically climbed into her lap

Then we were seated at our table. Shortly after we got to see Rapunzel do her introduction
Then started the parade of princesses

Our food looked beautiful. Matt and I ordered the same thing but different soups. The kids each picked something different but liked what they had...although they were very distracted by the fun surroundings

Then our dessert came out it truly looked like a plate of dessert from the sea. Hallie got an extra cupcake since we were celebrating her birthday

After lunch Em was so tired with her full belly she fell asleep pretty quickly
We used that time to ride some of the rides that Em was to little to ride. She slept while we each got 2 rides into the Cars Racer ride

Then we caught one of the car "jams" again

The kids loved the splash pad

Then it was just time to catch the newsies street performance
Then while Matt took the girls on a few more rides in Radiator Springs Em and I got a place for the parade
Then the girls colored and had snacks whoile we waited for the parade to start

Shortly after the parade we decided to call it a day. Everyone was tired and the hotel was having tacos for the dinner buffet that night and Hallie really wanted to be there for them. We grabbed a few more pics and called it a day
