Matt's parents were in need of a new roof so last week they got it done before stuff on our house really needed to be done and Matt couldn't help. Nick and Brit ripped off the old roof on Monday and Tuesday so when Friday came it was ready to have the new stuff put on. Unfortunately between when the ripped it off and go the new one on it rained....like a lot. There were a couple times they had water coming thru the light fixtures:/ On Friday Matt flew in from DC and then we had to get the nails and the tools to finish. The shingles had been delivered on Thursday so we didn't have to pick them up luckily. By the time we collected everything and got to Tremonton it was about 6:30. I felt so bad for Matt. Since he had gotten home he wasn't feeling good and by the time we got to pick up the guns he was pretty sick. So I drove to Tremonton while he tried to nap. He said he was feeling better when we got there and was able to help. The kids were content to play outside but as the night wore on it was time to settle in for the night. We had brought some movies with us so we started the new Annie. For some reason all the kids were pretty restless but once in a while they would really sit down and watch with us.
Once they ran out of light we headed for home and got the kids to bed about 11pm. We have had so many late night recently I guess I should just be grateful that its summer right? The next day Nick, Brit, Chris, and Kerry were able to finish since Matt had stuff that had to be taken care of for the house. Im glad its done and they are now safely covered for when it rains again. Matt is now considering roofing our house...I guess we will see.
