The morning we were supposed to head to Oregon Em woke up with a fever and wasn't quite herself. I was slightly worried but since she had her 2 year immunizations the day before I kinda expected something to be off. But she worked thru it and got some good sleep before being her normal self.
In order to complete stuff before we left I had to run to SLC to finish some testing for the travel nursing job Im going to try for a while since Mckay is so slow. She slept the whole way in both directions.
Then after a few last minute packing things Matt came home early and we headed to the airport. Once we got all our bags and car seats dropped off we headed to the gate. This was our first flight with the kids longer than an hour and with a layover.
They did much better than we expected even though it was late and everyone was tired we made it. When we got to the airport we found out that one of our bags had been left in California on our layover. In fact they had neglected to put a whole cart full of bags on the plane at the transfer.
This little girl loves to read. She always has and hope she always will.
So our already late night got even later. Matt went to pick up the rental car while I waited my turn to report our missing bag. At about 1am(2am Utah time) we finally got to our hotel and by 2am everyone was crashed and sound asleep. Hoping that our bag would show up the next day as they had promised
