Once we got the approval to move in the craziness really started! Christmas was in 3 days! We had not tree and hadn't wrapped one present. One the 23rd we put up the Christmas tree and on Christmas Eve when we put the kids to bed finally got the presents wrapped. On Christmas Eve we still did pjs and a movie. This year we got the Polar Express. We also got some other packages from Santa(this time it was our neighbor Cathie) She had written a note to each of the girls as if it were from Santa and included a story for each of them. It was a very thoughtful gift.
The girls in their pjs with their books
Matt read the girls their stories while I put Em to bed and got Christmas breakfast started. Then it was off to bed for them and time to get to work for us.
It took over 3 hours to wrap all the presents and get everything set up and ready for Santa to come. This is Hallie's pile
Gracie's pile on the left and mine on the right
Matt's is in the chair
This is Em's pile
Some how it all came together and Santa even found us. He brought each of the girls a present and filled their stockings
I went to bed on Christmas Eve grateful and completely exhausted. I felt quite accomplished that we managed to be moved in and somewhat settled before Christmas morning...what a blessing. There were so many people that played a role in getting us to the very end I wouldn't even know where to begin to thank people.
