The Magic That is Christmas Morning

Around 8am the girl came wandering into our room wondering if they could check to see if Santa had come. Matt and I drug ourselves out of bed to check out what we had gotten. The girls were so excited but it only took a few minutes to realize there was a big difference between Hallie and Gracie's unwrapping style.

Hallie opened all her presents as fast as she could and paused just long enough to see what she had gotten before moving on the the next thing.

Gracie on the other hand opened each thing and played with it for several minutes before moving on.

After the girls had opened all their presents Matt and I opened ours. I was really excited for Matt to open his gifts. He has been wanting a Mission belt for a very long time but they are pricey and just haven't been a priority. This year I bought a whole set of 4 on a deal on black Friday. He was so excited. I was so glad he liked them

Everyone got some form of neck gator to wear in the snow...I think Matt really liked his
The girls then spent the next hour reading various stories they had received. Meanwhile Em slept thru all of this so we ate breakfast and just played with all the new stuff.
About 1030 Em decided to join the Christmas party. The girls were super excited to help her open her gifts. She was however more interested in all the crinkly paper

After that we spent  the rest of our morning in our pjs just hanging out. Around lunchtime Brit called to see if they could come visit and bring dinner so we could have Christmas dinner together. We were happy to have them come join us. It was pretty low key. Brit brought a turkey roast, we had stuffing, potatoes, and bread. It was so nice to have space for us to all sit somewhere and so we could visit. It was a fun time and a great way to end our Christmas Day. I loved being in our new house for Christmas with all the snow it was just magical
